Hi there! We’re Kyle and Meg, a couple in our 30s living on a small farm just outside of Charlottesville. We share our home with a variety of animals and have experience caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. We understand how hard it can be to leave your pet behind. Our focus is dependable, thoughtful care that gives you true peace of mind. Meg has several years of professional experience in animal husbandry, including work in an animal hospital and shelter. We are both Fear Free certified and Pet CPR/First Aid certified through Blue Cross, with training in low stress handling, canine body language, and emergency response. Our home, often endearingly referred to as “Dog Disneyland”, offers outdoor time, enrichment, and structured attention. Because we work from home, pets receive consistent supervision, exercise, and affection throughout the day. We’re especially comfortable working with high energy dogs and those who benefit from calm, confident handling and structured care. When appropriate, we incorporate supervised slatmill (canine treadmill) enrichment to provide focused, controlled exercise that helps dogs feel more balanced and relaxed during their stay. Whether your pet stays with us or we care for them in your home, you can trust they’ll be safe, respected, and genuinely cared for.
