I'd do this for less than $10 a walk if I could. I have a full-time, in office job, so I am much more suited for walks and longer hangs than I really am overnight sitting. My current apt building doesnt allow for pets, so if sitting were a thing, it'd have to be at yours. That said, I would take your pet out and they'd do things with me, my SO, and very likely also my friends.

A typical day
M-F I'm at work, but after work I'm either unwinding with a long walk or a movie with SO. Love long walks whether on treadmill or outside, so this is kinda helping me too.

Pet care experience
Been in Arlington since 2017 and despite having not owned since with family, have a lot of experience walking and sitting for friends and family. V much want to hang out with your pup, super down for walks, and sitting if theres a need! Moreso into this for my own personal emotional regulation (has a full-time job), so time/rates absolutely negotiable. Not really sure whats considered experience here, so will put amount of time I've lived with.

Kyle house sat and pet sit my dog, Laika, for about a week. Laika is a Shiba Inu, and while friendly, she can be quite stubborn. He handled her with grace and she warmed up to him enough to even snuggle him. I had no doubts about Kyle’s ability to take care of my dog, but I’m also really glad they got to know each other and formed a good bond.
Kyle has been my pet sitter for seven (7) different animals. Dogs, cats, and even an African pygmy hedgehog. Kyle is caring, capable, and gives our fur babies the attention each needs/requires ensuring they are well looked after in our absence. When caring for our animals, Kyle ensures they are fed and their medication is timely. He adores taking our dogs for their walks and guarantees the walk is to the dog's fitness and age level. Play time with our hedgehog seems to be one of his favorite things. My family has found Kyle to be trustworthy and reliable. He is punctual, sticks to the feeding and care schedules, and protects our home while we are away by ensuring the condo or house is locked after he's cared for our animals. Additionally, he handle stressful animal health care issues with finesse and is a clear communicator. I have found Kyle to be cool under pressure, and compassionate and patient with our pets. I would highly recommend Kyle for any pet sitting job. Kyle has cared for our three (3) dogs, three (3) cats, and hedgehog for over the last 10 years. We always return to happy animals and a clean house.
Kyle has so much puppy love in his heart to give that he’s offered to help sit for dogs in his apartment hallway. I’ve trusted him with my own dog more than once and am a little worried my dog likes him more than me now.
