Availability
I have regular clients to drop in on each morning M-F, and am often overnight house-sitting on the weekends. I'm currently open to taking on other regular clients or short-term care for your cat, dog, or other pets. I keep my calendar up to date, so if it says I'm free, feel free to reach out. I'm happy to negotiate prices for long term, regular care.

About Kyle H.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I like to meet the client and meet the pets in advance to briefly get to know each other and what exact care is needed. My professional training is in biomedical lab, so I have structure, routine, planning ahead, and attention to detail hardwired into my head. All I ask for are written instructions for meals, an emergency contact and vet info. I'm very confident I will keep your fur babies happy and safe!
Information Kyle H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know what special needs, behavioral issues, or odd quirks your pet has, if any. I insist on doing meet and greets for every new client to get this information anyway. I have a thorough (but optional) questionnaire I like to send just so you have the opportunity to provide anything you think is relevant and helpful for me to know before the sit (but this isn't necessary before the meet and greet).
A typical day
As a neuroscientist I have a strong interest in psychology and animal behavior, so I'm always trying to see things from your dog or cat's point of view. I am interested in what they're interested in! I like to stick to whatever their normal routine is, so they are the most comfortable while their humans are away!

Pet care experience
I've been pet sitting with Rover for 3 years, often full-time, while transitioning careers out of academia (I'm a biomedical scientist by training). I currently have a 11 year old cat named Oliver.

Reviews

Kyle did a fantastic job taking care of the kitties! We are very appreciative and would recommend him to anyone who needed a pet sitter. Thank you, Kyle!

Kyle kept me updated on Jinx's daily preferences - play versus being petted, etc. - with pics of her activities, including eating.

Kyle is amazing. One of our dogs is a very anxious power chewer, and Kyle handled him like a pro. He really went above and beyond when it came to caring for our two dogs, including a long walk to the park and playtime in the backyard. He communicates well and pays attention to detail. I can not speak more highly of him. Six stars!

Kyle's great and very accommodating. Thanks brother!
