I am a Geologist with lots of regional travel involved. When I am not traveling I am often working from home, so I work and simultaneously take care of my dog, Freya. For sitting/boarding/walking services I would be confined to weekends only with few exceptions. Requests for non weekends are welcomed though, I may be able to help if I am in town!

I have a fenced in yard with a pool. I understand the pool may be a worry, so I wouldn't let your pet outside unless I am with him/her. Upon request, I can take your pet outside on a leash. We have one dog and two cats in our house. All are friendly towards other animals, but if you'd like more information about any of our pets please let me know!

Please let me know if you dog has any unorthodox or otherwise special behaviors that I should know about. Additionally, if there are any actions that may cause your dog to stress or feel threatened that are atypical, please let me know. I want this to be a fun experience for both your dog and for me as well. I will always be mindful to watch body language closely upon meeting your dog so that I don't put either of us in any danger. A patient approach and a gentle touch is usually all that's needed to make new animals feel safe around me in my experience.
A typical day
I can take dogs on your typical walks, which is of course fine, but i really like to roughhouse with larger dogs. I have made a couple of toys that work great for tug of war, and also fetch. For smaller dogs, don't worry I love to play keepaway with any toys that make sense. I currently have about 10 toys at home with me that can be suitable for any size dog.

Pet care experience
I've been helping take care of dogs since I was about 10 years old, when my family got my childhood dog, Roxie. Since then I've ben helping neighbors, friends and of course my family take care of their pets. Mostly dogs but also some cats. We raised out current dog Freya as a puppy, and while frustrating and difficult, it was also very fun and rewarding. I'm very pleased to see how far she's come from the tiny little ball of energized razor teeth that she was!

Kyle is a reliable guy who loves dogs and will take good care of your pet. He is a dog Dad now, and had dogs while growing up. If your dog is the kind that likes to play tug of war, fetch, and "chase around the yard", Kyle will do all of that with them. if your dog is more of a couch potato who likes to cuddle, then Kyle will do that as well.
Kyle came to my house to sit with my new rescue dog when she had heart worm. It was a time when we had to keep her calm while she was being treated. He found ways to gently play and talk with her. Under normal conditions, he's a natural at engaging and playing with dogs. It's almost like they think he's one of them! He's reliable and great at communicating with questions or to share information. I will definitely count on Kyle to help me again, and it's easy for me to recommend him to others.
Kyle loves animals and is very keen to their needs!! Very friendly and always looking out for them! He helps out my dog and cats all the time and they all love him (sometimes I think more than me lol). Kyle would be a wonderful friend for your pet no matter how big or small! :)
