I have several years of hands on experience working in animal shelters and veterinary clinics, where I cared for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. I’ve worked with everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs, as well as shy, reactive, and anxious pups who need a little extra patience and understanding. I’m also a dog owner myself, so I truly understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own — with patience, love, and attention to their individual needs.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible to minimize stress. I follow feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions, and any household rules exactly as provided. I understand how important familiarity is for pets, especially when their owners are away. I provide enrichment through walks, playtime, and mental stimulation tailored to your dog’s energy level and personality. I also monitor for any changes in behavior, appetite, or health and will communicate promptly if I notice anything concerning. I can also send updates with pictures if you want!

This was my first time ever leaving my pets with someone other than family. I was nervous but after meeting her and watching my pets converge on her, my anxiety went away! She went above and beyond and cleaned for us after her stay. I felt confident that my pets were safe in her care.
Kyla was so good to our babies! We have a very anxious German Shepard mix and another rescue dog that can be quite a handful sometimes and she was so good with them! She provided very good updates each day with cute pictures for us to see. Kyla even let us know that one of the dogs had an excitement pee when she arrived and she wanted to clean it up asap so it didn’t stain. Our house was left so clean and our babies seem to have had a very good weekend with her! We will definitely rebook with her again!
Was communicative, prompt, and went above and beyond to give my boys the best experience while I was gone.
Kyla watched our 130lb Cane Corse Blue for 2 nights in our house. She went above and beyond, contacting me and sending photos she took of Blue. Her knowledge in dog care came in handy when she noticed blood on the floor due to a bloody paw. She contacted me right away, identifying that he had a hot spot (which I had not heard of before) and let me know she had already taken care of cleaning his paw for us. Blue was in the best hands with Kyla and she will be the first contact I go to when booking another dog sitter. What a relief knowing your loved one is in such great care! Thanks again Kyla! :)

I do work full time at an Animal Shelter currently but I manage my schedule to ensure the pets in my care receive the attention and care they deserve!
