My husband and I both have flexible hybrid schedules, with one of us home every day. We are available weekdays and weekends, and we can do morning, mid-day, and evening walks. We also have a small, fenced back yard that’s accessible all day.

We’re happy to crate your pet if preferred, but they are also welcome to join us on the couch or anywhere in the house. We have a pet (and kid) proofed house to ensure they are safe. We have a small fenced back yard that’s available all day. On walks, we maintain a safe distance between dogs, cars, bikes, etc. Pups remain on leash (unless at a dog park). We are in Capitol Hill and have lots of good walking & park options near us— Lincoln Park, Eastern Market, Garfield Park.

Please let us know if your pup has any reactivity with other dogs, cats, or children. We live in a neighborhood with an abundance of all of the above, so we need to ensure we are safe when we're out and about. Also love to know about favorite treats, any likes/dislikes (do any dogs like the rain?), and anything you'd like to share about your pup or your preference as their fur mom/dad.
A typical day
We love to take long walks around our neighborhood, to the park, and generally like to be out and about. We do walks to Lincoln Park, Garfield Park, and others around Capitol Hill. Love to play games, play fetch, and encourage fun and zoomies wherever possible.

Pet care experience
We are a family (myself, husband, and 9 yr old daughter) who love pups of all ages, sizes, and types (sadly allergic to kitties). Our beloved dog of 13 years passed away in 2022, and we’ve since fostered a puppy, cared for friends & neighbors pets, and Rover’d for the last 3 years. We recently adopted a very sweet puppy (named Bruno) who is 4 months old. We’re skilled with puppies, kid-puppy interactions, and with senior dogs. My husband and I are the Rover 'caretakers', with our daughter providing primo petting and puppy loving assistance (but no independent care-taking). We're excited to meet and care for your furry family member in our Cap Hill, DC home.

They took such amazing care of my 80lb, energetic dog for over a week. Got him off leash at a park nearly every day so he could run. Two long walks on Sunday. Such a lovely family and such good caretakers!
Saaya always has the best time staying with Kyla and Greg! So much so that she sometimes doesn’t want to leave 😂. Their new puppy Bruno made her most recent stay even better. They’re our favorite sitters for whenever we have a long trip, because we know she’ll be in the best hands.
This was the third time Kayla and Greg took our two floofs. One of our pups (Bernese Mountain dog) got sick the night before our departure (barfing and diarrhea!!!) but Kayla and Greg took excellent care of her. They put in a call with the vet, gave her special food, etc. We also got lots of videos from strolls around Lincoln Park and they got to run at the Congressional Cemetery. If you need trusting and loving care for your pet I highly recommend them!
Kyla and Gregory are awesome! They took great care of our boys while we went on a long weekend trip. They were super communicative while we were away (periodic pics and videos!) which definitely helped set us at ease. Very kind, good people who are obviously dog lovers! ☺️ The boys are exhausted and ready to get a good nap in, so I know they had a blast.
