As for my schedule, I currently use dog walking as main source of income. I have plans for work and school, but they will not interfere with my current schedule for walks.

Safety, trust & environment
When meeting pets for the first time, I do my best to be non-threatening and help them feel comfortable around me. In fact I make it my goal to get shy pets to trust me, but I don’t force it. Each pet is different and learns to trust on their own timeline.

A typical day
I tend to take a pet-first but structured approach. What I mean by that is, on walks I'm happy to stop and let your pup sniff around, and meet other animals and people if they want. However, I don't force interactions, and I watch them carefully to make sure they don't eat anything. I let them take the lead on where to go or what to do, unless it becomes time to return home or they enter private property. If we're not out on a walk and enjoying time in the backyard, I love playing fetch!

Pet care experience
I have experience with high energy and reactive dogs. I'm familiar with dog behavior and body language. I've trained my own dog and worked with clients who work with trainers. I take a collaborative approach to my work, so that everyone feels comfortable discussing concerns or giving advice. I love all dogs from Pitties to Pomeranians! I also have experience with atypical pets such as reptiles, bunnies, and tarantulas.

Reviews

Kyla has exceeded expectations! She is thoughtful, conscientious, thorough and dependable. She has been looking after my 3 cats, 2 of which are sensitive and shy, and she is doing a fabulous job! I feel so much better knowing she is giving them excellent care. She sends several photos and comments that ease my mind and her expertise and feedback is very much appreciated. My partner and I value her very much and would definitely book her again!!

Kyla is wonderful! I never have to worry when I’m out of town. My dog loves her!

Our first couple visits went well!

Kyla took care of our 6 month old puppy to let her out during weekdays at lunch when I had to do some extended travel for work, and she was excellent! She made sure our puppy got plenty of play time, spending nearly the whole hour outside. Her communication is always prompt and clear. Its clear she loves each of her client’s pups as if they were her own! Thank you Kyla for all your help!
