Where dogs come on holiday

I’ve been using Rover for Grace Kelly, my rescue dog, since 2022, so I know exactly how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. When I adopted Grace almost 6 years ago, I accidentally acquired a new hobby: researching dogs. What began as a few training classes quickly escalated into books, courses, podcasts and an endless fascination with dog behaviour, enrichment and positive reinforcement. Your dog won’t just be staying in my home. They’ll be joining Grace and me in our everyday life. We love exploring new walking routes, visiting Bushy Park, discovering dog-friendly pubs and cafés, and finding new places to sniff and investigate. I firmly believe that a happy dog is a dog whose mind is as exercised as their legs, so I like to make every day a little different. Whether your dog is an adventurer, a social butterfly or a professional sofa enthusiast, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved and at home from the moment they arrive.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Ksenyia enough. As a very nervous dog mum, leaving Kylo is never easy, but she made the whole experience completely stress free. She kept me updated throughout his stay with lots of photos and messages, which gave me so much reassurance. She even managed to get Kylo to eat, which is something he often refuses to do when he’s anxious after I’ve left. It was clear she was incredibly patient and caring with him. Kylo enjoyed long walks, plenty of cuddles, and was genuinely looked after as if he were her own. You can tell she really loves dogs and goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and Kylo will definitely be staying with Ksenyia again over the next few weeks. Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of my boy!

Kseniya has been an amazing dog sitter for Oliver! I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received. Communication was excellent throughout—she replied quickly, kept me updated regularly, and sent lots of photos, which gave me real peace of mind. It was clear my dog was having a great time, with plenty of fun activities and enrichment to keep him entertained. She was incredibly kind, accommodating, and always available, making the whole experience stress-free from start to finish. I felt completely confident leaving my dog in her care and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

Kseniya is a wonderful, fun and organised, responsible, patient, caring friend and fur-Mumma to Grace Kelly. She always seeks to solve challenges in a unique and level-headed way, and always comes prepared to look after Grace (and other pets) with treats, toys and her magical bag of doggie tricks. She is a beautiful advocate for pets of all shapes, sizes and breeds and shows just as much care with other fur-babies as she does her own.

Schedule

I split my time between home and the office, but I have the flexibility to work from home whenever needed. The only regular time I’m out of the house is my Saturday morning volunteering shift at a local charity shop. It’s about three hours and then I’m straight back.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog will stay in a secure ground-floor flat with a fully fenced private garden and plenty of space to relax, play and explore. Dogs are welcome on the sofa, welcome on the bed and generally encouraged to make themselves at home. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages throughout their stay, so you can see what they’ve been up to and relax knowing they’re having a great time. I also require a meet and greet before accepting a booking (boarding only). It’s a chance for us to get to know each other, for the dogs to meet and to make sure we’re the right fit for one another.

Pets

A typical day

Most days start with a 30–45 minute morning walk and end with a longer evening adventure of an hour or more. In between, dogs have access to the garden, plenty of playtime and, if they’re anything like Grace, several strategically timed naps on the sofa. At weekends, the adventures tend to get bigger. Depending on the dog, that might mean a café stop, a walk along the Thames, a trip to a new park or simply somewhere we’ve never been before.
