First time booking on Rover? Get $20 off by using my promo code: KTAL682686 !!!————————— PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING TO BOOK —————————!!! Due to the space limitations of apartment living and mindfulness of my own dog’s wellbeing, I currently accept only small breeds under 20 lbs. At this time, requests for larger breeds cannot be accommodated. Please ensure your dog’s weight is accurately represented, as it’s essential that I can safely lift both your dog and mine in case of an emergency. Thank you for your understanding! **Anxious or Shy Dogs:** Is your little friend especially anxious or shy? I have incredible compassion and patience for dogs who are nervous, skittish, or take a while to warm up. With extensive experience handling rescues and shelter adoptions, I understand the needs of dogs who have faced past neglect, abandonment, or abuse. My top priority is to create a safe and comfortable environment, ensuring your dog experiences as little stress as possible in my care. **Reactive Doggies** If your dog is reactive, please let me know in advance. I’m more than happy to work with reactive dogs, but it’s essential to know beforehand, as my own dog will be present during your pet’s stay. This way, I can set up the space accordingly to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. **Puppies and Seniors:** Whether your dog is under 1 year or a senior, I’ve cared for puppies as young as six months and senior dogs with special needs, such as incontinence, limb paralysis, and daily medications. I’m equipped to handle all types of messes, provide potty breaks at any time, and meet your preferred exercise and dietary requirements. **Preparing for Your Dog’s Stay** - Care Instructions: Feel free to provide as much or as little detail in your care instructions as you’d like. I carefully review everything and do my best to keep your dog’s schedule and routines as close to home as possible. - What to Bring [REQUIRED] • Regular dog food • Treats — Only if your dog has food sensitivities or allergies; otherwise, they’re welcome to enjoy the treats here! • Collar/ID tag - What Else to Bring [OPTIONAL]: Any additional supplies, training aids, beloved toys, bedding, blankets, or favorite snacks—bring whatever you feel will make your pup comfortable! Or, if you need to pack light, no worries; I have plenty of amenities to share ☺️! **Communication While You Are Away** To help you fully enjoy your time away and allow me to focus on caring for your dog, I keep communication minimal unless needed. You can expect a brief update with a few photos in the evenings to let you know all is well. Unless there’s something of concern or I ask a specific question, feel free to skip the reply and go enjoy your vacay! Rest assured, your dog will receive plenty of love and attention throughout their stay. However, if you prefer more frequent updates and photos, just let me know—I’ll be happy to accommodate. And if the distance really feels too much, feel free to request a FaceTime call; I’d be happy to schedule a time for you to see and chat with your pup 😆 For stays longer than one week Given the length of your dog’s stay, they’ll likely settle into our daily routine, so updates may be similar from day to day. I’ll aim to provide updates and photos every 2-3 days, but please feel free to reach out anytime to check in! I’m happy to send a quick reply and snap a picture on the spot.

Schedule

I have a flexible WFH schedule on Mondays and Fridays. I'm in the office on Tues-Thus, during the typical 9-5 hours. If your dog needs more frequent relief, I can accommodate a lunchtime potty break (upon request), as I'm just a short BART ride away. For the rest of the week, I'm mostly at home and often visit nearby parks or Lake Merritt in the late afternoons or early evenings.

Safety, trust & environment

** Clean, Safe, and Accessible Areas For Your Pup’s Potty Breaks** I am WFH so I ensure pets have plenty of opportunities to relieve themselves throughout the day—upon waking, after meals, every 2-3 hours, and before bed. If your pet requires more frequent breaks, please let me know so I can make sure they stay as comfortable as possible during their stay. There is a dog-run onsite that is securely fenced and cleaned/maintained daily by the building. While most of my visitors find the main relief area suitable for their needs, I also have an in-unit Bark Potty (kept fresh after every use and changed out frequently) for puppies or seniors who go more frequently, pups who have limited mobility, or those who simply prefer the offered privacy and convenience of less-trafficked space to do their business as they please. **Doggie-Vacation: Relax and Let Your Dog Feel At Home** My living room is perfect for dogs who love to lounge. I have plenty of cozy blankets for snugglers and den-makers, along with XL windows for pups who enjoy people-watching the downtown area or finding that perfect sunspot to bask in. Your dog is welcome to roam freely, grab a toy (or six) from the toy chest, and relax wherever they feel most comfortable. **Commitment to a Safe Environment for Your Pet** To ensure the best care for your pet, I conduct a thorough walkthrough of my unit before every new visitor. This process guarantees cleanliness and ensures the space is “dog-proofed” for your pet’s safety. While this level of care might seem obvious, it’s not a standard requirement on this platform and can sometimes be overlooked by less experienced sitters. That’s why I make it a priority to include this precaution as part of my preparation for every booking, ensuring you can trust that your pet is in safe hands. Recognizing that a new environment can spark a pet’s curiosity, I take the following steps to keep them safe: - Human food is securely stored, out of reach of even the most determined sniffers. - Houseplants are non-toxic and pet-friendly. - Cables, cords, and small objects that could pose choking hazards are kept out of reach. - Cleaning supplies, medications, and cosmetics are safely stored. - Heavy items on counters and tables are positioned away from edges to prevent accidental knock-overs. - Trash bins are secured with lids or stowed in cabinets, and the toilet lid remains closed. - Windows and doors are securely latched, and I never leave my unit unless all dogs are harnessed or leashed.

A typical day

Although I’m at my desk working during the day, I frequently break to provide some dedicated attention to each pup. Whether it’s playtime with some toys, a chance to practice some tricks for treats, or just getting some sweet belly rubs in, I do my best to provide fun and stimulating moments whenever I can. In the late afternoons/early evenings, if your pup enjoys socialization and exercising or exploring outdoors, I am always happy to pay Snow Park a visit or take a lap around Lake Merritt. Both are just a few minutes’ walk away and offer plenty of options suited to your dog’s preference- Let me know what your little pal enjoys so I can give them the best experience possible!
