Pet care experience
Dog Enthusiast
Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I genuinely can’t imagine a home without animals in it! Today, my home is happily full with three dogs, a cat, and two little boys, so caring for others is pretty much second nature to me. Two of my dogs and my cat are rescues, which has also given me experience with animals who may need a little extra patience, reassurance, and time to feel comfortable. I’ve loved dogs of all breeds and sizes over the years—from Great Danes and English Bulldogs to Golden Retrievers—and I truly believe every dog has their own personality, quirks, and way of communicating what they need. I’m patient, attentive, affectionate, and always respectful of the routines and boundaries their families have established. As a pet parent myself, I also understand how much trust it takes to hand your dog’s leash over to someone else. I’ll treat your dog the way I would want someone to treat mine: with kindness, patience, attention, and lots of love. I originally joined Rover years ago simply because spending time with dogs sounded like the best job imaginable. All these years later, that really hasn’t changed. 🐾❤️

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort will always come first. I’ll follow your instructions and routines closely, keep dogs securely leashed on walks, and pay attention to their individual personality and needs. I’m also very respectful of clients’ homes and will treat both your pet and your space with the same care I’d want for my own.
Ratings and reviews
If I could give negative stars I would. Where to begin... complete lack of communication. Had to send duplicate messages to check if she was getting them - messages about timeframes and instructions of obtaining a key for our apt. etc. I should have known that due to her lack feedback she wasn't going to show up. Since she was only doing an overnight stay with our 3 month old puppy I had scheduled our regular pet sitter around her scheduled coverage. We were out of the country for one night and sure enough when we landed I still hadn't heard back from her. Thinking maybe there's just an issue with the app I waited until the timeframe she said she would arrive between 6-630pm and still no one at our apt - I know this because we have security cameras. Knowing that she doesn't always respond to text messages I call her because I'm starting to panic. Of course she does not answer her phone. I immediately call Rover's customer support and they start trying to reach out to her. I state the obvious to them which is since she hasn't been communicating with me I'd rather at this point they just try to send another sitter for the night since our puppy has now been in a crate for too long and not eaten since that morning. They call back and tell me that they've tried her and her emergency contacts and all they can say is that they can confirm she will not be coming to stay with our puppy. At this point I have not (and even as I write this) STILL not received any communication from her - since 6/25. Stating the obvious here, but this all was very unacceptable since the booking was confirmed by her on 6/16 and occurred on 6/28 - clearly that's plenty of time to let someone know you can't stay with a puppy overnight so that they can make other arrangements. I have to give Rover's Customer Service a lot of credit they handled this situation very well, they found an amazing sitter who came at 10pm that night to take care of our puppy. With this entire situation I question Krystle's concern for animal welfare, I don't know how you do this to any animal let alone a 3 month old puppy. I would be more understanding if this were a situation where an emergency happened and she couldn't make it but over the course of 13 days with her lack of response just tells me she has very poor judgment and a clear lack of concern for her work and for animals in general. There seem to be a lot of great sitters on Rover, she's clearly not one of them.

Schedule
I currently work a hybrid schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks and drop-ins throughout the week. I especially love early morning and evening walks! As a lifelong dog owner with three dogs of my own, pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine.
- 0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsKrystle can host up to 8 drop-ins per day
- Tell me everything! I’d love to know your dog’s normal routine, personality, favorite things, and any special needs or quirks. Please let me know about medications, allergies, reactivity, fears, triggers, escape tendencies, or anything they may encounter on a walk that I should be aware of. The more I know about your pup, the better I can care for them!
