Experienced + Caring In-home Sitter
I’ve been caring for pets for over 15 years, and one of my favorite parts of the work is getting to know each animal for who they are-their personality, quirks, and their different little ways of communicating. I have a background in psychology, so I’ve always been really interested in behavior-both human and animal- and that carries into the way I care for pets. I pay attention to body language, their environment, and what helps each one feel more comfortable. I’ve also worked in a veterinary clinic and alongside a professional dog trainer, which gave me hands-on experience with animal behavior, basic health needs, and safe handling. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, and small animals with all kinds of needs, including pets who are anxious, reactive, high-energy, or just need a little extra time to warm up. My goal is always to keep things feeling as familiar and normal as possible while you’re away, so I’ll always do my best to follow their routine, give them plenty of attention, and keep you updated with photos and videos so you can feel connected to them from afar.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I stay attentive to their environment, body language, routines, and any potential risks both inside and outside the home. I really value open communication and encourage pet parents to be transparent about any behaviors, triggers, sensitivities, or past experiences I should know about. The more I understand your pet, the better I can care for them safely and meet them where they are. I also treat every home with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I bring my own personal essentials, keep pet and living areas tidy, and am happy to help with things like mail, plants, trash, and linens when needed.
Ratings and reviews
This was the first time Krystie took care of our two cats and I am so happy we found her. She came for a meet & greet to get to know the cats and their routine before we left. She took great care of our two boys and they seemed to have bonded quickly with her. She engaged them in play and cuddles and left everything very neat and clean. This was our first time using Rover for a house/cat sit, and we had an amazing experience with Krystie. Before booking, Krystie answered all questions that we had and asked really good questions to better understand our Smallfry and put our minds at ease. She arrived promptly on the day of the sit so we could walk through the house and introduce her to our cat and how best to care for him. During the stay, Krystie provided multiple status updates each day with photos and video. We could tell by our cat’s behavior that he was very well cared for and made a new best friend. It is always tough leaving a pet for vacation, but with Krystie we knew Smallfry was happy and in good hands. We would definitely book Krystie again in the future and would highly recommend her for anyone else looking for a sitter with an abundance of communication, experience, and kindness.
Krystie is a fantastic dog walker/sitter. Our nearly 2 yr old golden retriever loves her and is so excited to see her. She is trustworthy and attentive to detail and excellent at communicating. We have found her to be very professional and she takes such good care of our dog. She has been the perfect fit for our lovable, mischievous and energetic dog. She is an absolute pleasure to deal with and we highly recommend her.
Not only is Krystie great with communication, but she takes the best dog videos/photos! I always feel great seeing how happy my puppo is through the Rover card!
Krystie takes better photos for my Rover Card than I do and they genuinely make my day!!

Schedule
I have part-time work commitments Monday-Friday, but I’m always transparent about my schedule before accepting a booking to make sure it works well with your pet’s routine and needs. My weekends are generally much more open, with no regular work commitments, which allows for more time at home and flexibility throughout the day.
