Seal Rescuer Turned Pet Sitter!
Ever since I was little I've always loved animals and despite by begging my parents never let me have a pet. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I was always the first person my friends and family turned to to look after their pets in need! Now having been on Rover for over 2 years, I have experience with all sorts of dogs, from puppies to elderly doggos, little lap dogs to big boys. Over years of travel, I have lived with a variety of cats, fish, rabbits and housemates' puppers, pitching in to take care, feed and walk them to help out. When I lived in Nepal, I was continually taking in street dogs to bathe and detick them to try to improve their health, as well as giving them good meals regularly. I volunteered with dog rescue charity there as well to make even more of a difference to help ease their struggles. One of my childhood dreams came true when I started working for a seal rescue and rehabilitation centre in Ireland, where I learned to handle, tube and hand feed, and deliver basic medical treatments like wound care and injections to sick, injured and orphaned seal pups. Having worked with wild animals and learning to identify signs of distress, I feel like I am ready for anything when it comes to looking after pets and am comfortable handling and administering medications meticulously as needed. I will make sure to give your little ones the best care I possibly can!

I am very mature and responsible and will take great care to maintain the cleanliness and condition of your home while I look after your fur babies. I pick things up quickly and will follow your instructions for care, where to find key items in your home etc down to the letter.

Krysten was wonderful with our anxious/reactive dog who is afraid of new people. She followed our instructions carefully and Sadie felt comfortable with her very quickly. Great and quick communications. We felt very comfortable leaving our pets in her excellent care.
Krysten was an absolute lifesaver! She stepped in on short notice after a cancellation and went above and beyond to take care of our cat, dog, and birds. It’s clear how much care and attention she gave them—they were all happy and well cared for when we got back. We are so grateful for her help and highly recommend her!
Krysten is such a lovely person and you’d be hard pressed to find a better carer for your pet. Our dog was so calm and happy in her care and we would love to have her watch him again.
Krysten was terrific. Calm and capable from the start. Our two doxies gave her a run for her money. Especially our older guy who had terrible separation anxiety and an upset tummy to go along with. It was great knowing she was so experienced while we were out of town.

Schedule
I work a full-time office job. My schedule is typically hybrid with 3 in the office and 2 days working from home. If you're fine with leaving your pet for 8 hours, that will be no problem. I can also have some flexibility in my work from home days, depending on the week. If your place is near my office in Fairview, I can let them out on my lunch break. Otherwise, I will be available to be at home with them full time for weekends with, or long weekends. I will have plenty of time to play with your pet, take them outside regularly, walk them and spend time together.
