I love all kinds of dogs, little wild ones, big slow ones, big sporty ones. They just crack me up. I will treat your pet with the utmost love and care at all times and be communicative with you about any changes in behavior, possible issues. So I'm used to holding my ground and handling them when they get excited. Since I've been in LA, I have been a surrogate parent to my friend's dogs, but have had my cats Doodie (now with my ex) and Harris (my little southern girl).
