Country retreat and loving home

After years of fostering rescue dogs, we’re experienced at creating a calm, loving home where dogs can relax, play, and feel genuinely safe. We have experience with a wide range of personalities, including anxious dogs, energetic dogs, and those who need a little extra structure or reassurance. We’re trained in dog leadership techniques that help dogs feel secure, confident, and part of the pack, along with advanced obedience experience for more challenging behaviours. But beyond the training side, we simply love spending time with dogs. Long walks, playtime, cuddles, enrichment, and making them feel at home are the heart of what we do. Our goal is for you to leave feeling confident your dog is genuinely cared for, understood, and loved while you are away.

If I were a dog, I would be begging to go to doggie daycare with Kristina. Kristina loves to walk in the woods on trails as much as the dogs do! She notices and marvels at what she sees and experiences and gives her dogs time and space to enjoy their own explorations. Her laughter and care for her animals mirrors the same care she gives the children, teens, and adults in her life. If you are looking for a safe, joyful, caring space for your pet then spending time with Kristina is a gem of a find!

I’ve witnessed firsthand the extraordinary connection Kristina shares with animals. Her care isn’t just "pet sitting" – she gives her whole heart to every furry friend. Kristina has owned dogs in the past and has also been a foster home to multiple dogs. Kristina has immense patience and attentiveness – skills she pours into pet care. Her house is full of fun with her teenage boys and she dedicates her focus to caring for your pets with the same warmth and expertise. She loves to take her dogs for walk in the forest which is her happy place. She is the most patient, and big-hearted person I know. When you entrust your fur-family to Kristina, you’re not just getting a sitter – you’re getting peace of mind knowing they’re loved like her own.

I have known Kristina and her family for over 10 years now. I have always found her kind and fun-loving. It makes perfect sense to me that she loves animals. Kristina and her husband have built a stable, loving home. I have spent some time with her on walks with her previous dog Louis. He was a great dog, and I could see she loved him very much. I think they would make a welcome home for any dog or cat. Feel free to contact me if you need any furhter information.

I can't recommend Kristina more highly. She went above and beyond to make sure Ozzy felt at home. It's clear that she genuinely cares for the dogs in her care. Kristina's communication was prompt, warm and reassuring. Ozzy came home happy and relaxed. If you are looking for someone you can trust with your fur baby, look no further. Ozzy will definitely be staying with her the next time we travel.

Safety, trust & environment

We have no current pets and only take one family at a time, so your dog(s) will have plenty of individualized attention and avoid the stress of other personalities. Our large property is not fenced, so we will always personally walk your dog around the property. This helps create a trust bond quickly with your dog, and means that your dog will never be left unsupervised in a yard. We love to send you pics throughout the visit!

A typical day

Our day always starts with a walk outside for as long as your dog is showing interest, followed by breakfast. After that, we go on the cues from your dog - it's usually very clear what they need in order to have an enjoyable day! We have many toys, bones, and beds for them to enjoy throughout the day. We will happily follow any specific care requirements, such as crating or medication, to make sure that your dog gets exactly what they need while they are with us. We also have 4 teenage kids who help keep your dog engaged! We do another long walk after dinner to end our day. Dogs can sleep anywhere they choose :)
