I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, especially dogs and cats. I grew up with an Alsatian and, as soon as I moved into my own home at 18, I adopted my first cat. My husband shares my love of animals, and together we have a home full of furry family members! We have two beautiful cats (both aged 5), our wonderful 14-year-old Jack Russell cross, Rocky, who still thinks he's a puppy, and our affectionate 11-month-old Labrador, Sonny. Despite his size, Sonny is incredibly gentle, friendly and loves both people and other animals. I work part-time for the NHS, which has helped me develop responsibility, reliability and a caring nature. When your pet is with us, they'll be treated as part of the family, with plenty of love, attention and care. My husband is home every other week, so there's often someone around to keep your pet company. We also have two children, aged 13 and 10, who have grown up surrounded by animals. They are kind, gentle and respectful around pets and absolutely love helping to care for them. Over the years I've looked after pets for friends and family, and they've often encouraged me to join Rover because they know how much I enjoy caring for animals. Having trained Sonny from a puppy, I'm also happy to reinforce basic training and routines if you'd like me to. I'm also happy to administer medication (oral or topical) if your pet requires it, as long as I'm given clear instructions. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I'll do everything I can to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and settled while in my care. I know that leaving your pet with someone else can feel daunting, so I'll keep you updated with regular messages, photos and videos, giving you complete peace of mind while you're away.
