Your Pet Deserves a Vacation, too!!
I grew up on a farm and have a lifetime of experience caring for animals of all kinds. Cats, dogs, horses, goats, chickens, pigs, you name it! I like taking a long walk in the morning, followed by playtime and sometimes a run or visit to the lake in the afternoon. I don't mind getting dirty with the dogs, and will play in the rain! A walk after dinner is also part of the typical routine. In North Fort Lauderdale, we have an open, airy, loft style townhouse. The backyard is fenced in, and we are only a short walk away from the dog park. Our neighborhood has several shaded, tree lined streets, and is a nice, quiet, safe place to take a walk. I have a plethora of patience as well as experience with puppies, seniors, and special needs pets. I also am available to care for your pets in your own home.

Kristina was absolutely amazing!!! She has so much energy, which is so valuable since I have 2 huskies. She took them on multiple walks a day, took them to the nearby dog park + played with them in our backyard. One of my dogs takes medication for his epilepsy, and she was a pro at administering. She was very communicative, giving me regular updates + photos. She also goes over + beyond!! I didn't expect or request any cleaning, but she insisted, washing bed linens + remaking the bed, cleaning the bathroom, and vacuuming the house! She also thoroughly brushed our dogs, making their coats look better than ever! She even left us all treats on her way out!! My pets had a blast with her + it was great to have someone so reliable + trustworthy so that we could focus on enjoying our vacation. We can't wait to hire her again in the future!

Omg if you have a dog and you love ur dog book her she took great care of my Jellies gave her medicine took her on long walks sent lots of photos she is wonderful and will definitely book her again

Schedule
My husband and I spend the summer in Saratoga Springs, NY, and the winter in sunny Fort Lauderdale, FL. The schedule created through Rover opportunities will be my primary work committment. My schedule is flexible so I am able to meet your pets needs and fit into your routine. I prefer to book one client at a time in order to give your pets the care and attention they deserve while you are away.

Safety, trust & environment
I have had many animals my entire life, so I know how important it is to stay aware of your surroundings at all times. When walking your dog, they will always be on leash and securely held. I love taking photos, and will provide several from our time together, but I do not use my phone for fun when with your pet. Please be patient if awaiting a response, as I focus 100% on the pet I am currently with, and do not have my phone glued to my hand all day. Animals are aware when you're not paying attention and they will take advantage of you! I pride myself on providing the level of care and attention I expect when leaving my own animals in someone else's care. Attention to detail and listening to what the animal is telling you is key to keeping everyone safe and happy.
Pets
A typical day
My life revolves around my animals, and they are considered my best friends. We have a large dog, as well as 4 cats who are considered our children. I love taking the kids on long walks in the neighborhood, fetch at the park, sniffing along the river, playtime at the lake, and out for hours of adventures on the trails. My Belgian Malinois regularly accompanies me when paddleboarding, hiking, and horseback riding. I am flexible, very active and energetic, and able to meet your needs to fit your pet's daily routine. I will gauge our walk based on your pet's energy level & personal needs. In South Florida, the dog days of summer are endless! Zizi loves playing at the beach, walking at the preserve, and she is always ready to go paddling with me. We often visit Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, paddle at West Lake, and enjoy watching the boats downtown along the Riverwalk. I also enjoy walking along the Greenway, a paved path that parallels a canal, not far from our townhouse. I am always extra cautious near bodies of water, as aligators are quite common in Florida (but thankfully are usually quite shy & afraid of us!)

- Please let me know if your pet is aggressive towards others, especially when eating or having a treat, if your dog is not neutered or spayed, has destructive chewing habits, a medical condition, or is struggling with other behavioral issues. Also, if there is anything unusual that I notice about your pet, I will be sure to bring such observations to your attention. All pets are unique and have their quirks, so please inform me of how to make yours as comfortable as possible. Our home is safe, dog-proofed, and dog-approved! We do not have carpets to make cleaning up accidents as easy as possible, and the primary living areas are on the ground floor. The couches and yoga mats are not for us to lounge on, but for the cats and dogs to enjoy!
