Home Away from Home! 🏠🐕
Hey Ya'll! My name is Kristin, and I am an animal lover and have been an animal caretaker for most of my life. Growing up, my family had at least three dogs in our home, and all of our pups were rescues. Since we have always had dogs with various backgrounds, I have experience handling a wide variety of temperaments, ages, and special needs of pets. For caretaking young and active dogs, I have been known to take them on long walks, play fetch and tug of war, and offer fun brain puzzles! For our seniors, caretaking is a little bit different, as we are happy to take them on shorter walks, let them just relax in the backyard, and offer special nutritional treats and balance their medication. All dogs, regardless of their age, will be permitted to snuggle on the couch, relax on the dog bed, and let themselves feel at home. We have a wide variety of dog toys and treats that we'd be happy to offer with the approval of pet parents! I will also be sure to send photo updates of your pets while you are away, so there are no worries!

We had such a wonderful experience with Kristin and her husband! They sent us daily updates and photos without us even having to ask, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They went above and beyond to make Barrett feel safe, comfortable, and loved—including comforting him during thunderstorms and even letting him sleep in bed with them! Barrett became especially attached to Kristin’s husband, Kris, which is very unusual for him and says so much about how comfortable and cared for he felt with them. It is so clear that Kristin and Kris genuinely love dogs. Barrett was treated with so much care and affection, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will absolutely be using them from here on out. I truly can’t recommend Kristin enough!
Kristin was so incredible. She has the perfect setup for what my boys needed. She was kind, sent so many pictures, and kept me updated daily. I would love to book with her again, I can tell the boys were sad to leave. I know they can be a lot to take care of, and I so appreciate her kindness and patience with them.

Kristin is absolutely lovely and did a wonderful job taking care of our Luna! I got lots of updates and photos of Luna snuggled up like she was part of the family. Will definitely book again!
When I tell you, she is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend her. I mean that. Lily has separation anxiety at times. Honestly, she loved it so much here. She did not feel like coming home lol.

Schedule
I work full-time in Pooler from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but I leave my home no later than 8:30 a.m. and arrive home around 5:00 p.m. My husband comes home for lunch and can let the pups boarded with us out daily around noon to 1:00 p.m. Our family is very active in the afternoons with daily walks that pups are welcomed to join on. On weekends, both me and my husband are home to spend time with visiting pets.

Safety, trust & environment
My home no longer has any other pets in it, but my husband and 5-year-old love dogs. (ALL DOGS BOARDING WITH US MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH SMALL CHILDREN.) We have a large fenced-in backyard, a walkable neighborhood, and plenty of pet toys. We cannot board cats since my husband is allergic, but I would be happy to visit with and feed cats throughout the day at your home.
A typical day
My husband, son, and I take walks on a nearly daily basis and we are happy to include pets on our walks. We have a large backyard that is perfect for fetch and lounging around outside. We also have a few special snack trays that act as brain games for pets. We even enjoy putting on special pet TV for pets who are stimulated through media!
