Pet care has become a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. I regularly care for pets through daily walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and vacation coverage, so I'm used to planning my schedule around each pet's needs and routine. I enjoy starting my day with a walk or spending time outside with dogs, and I love that every visit is a little different. Whether it's a high-energy puppy who wants to play fetch, a senior dog who enjoys a slower walk, or a cat who just wants some company while their family is away, I genuinely enjoy building a relationship with each animal. Because I work closely with families, I'm organized, flexible, and used to managing multiple schedules while making sure every pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. Caring for animals never feels like just another task on my to-do list—it's one of the most rewarding parts of my week.

About Kristin R.
Safety, trust & environment
I believe every pet is happiest when their routine stays as consistent as possible, so I take the time to learn each family's preferences before I begin. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or stopping by for a walk or drop-in visit, I'll follow your instructions closely and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Safety is always my top priority. I pay close attention on walks, keep dogs leashed unless you've specifically instructed otherwise in a secure area, make sure gates and doors are secure, and always keep fresh water available. I'm also happy to administer medications, reinforce routines you've established, and accommodate any special care your pet may need. I treat every client's home with the same respect I would my own. I'll leave everything clean and tidy, bring in packages or mail if needed, water plants, and keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. My goal is simple: when you return home, your pet is happy, your home is just as you left it, and you feel confident knowing they were cared for with the same love and attention I would give my own.

Information Kristin R. would like to know about your pet
I love learning everything I can about your pet before you leave so I can keep their routine as consistent as possible. I’d like to know their daily schedule, feeding instructions, favorite activities, any medications or health concerns, allergies, fears or triggers (such as thunderstorms, fireworks, or other dogs), and how they typically behave around new people. I also appreciate knowing any house rules, where they like to sleep, what commands they know, and who to contact in case of an emergency. The more I know ahead of time, the more comfortable and stress-free the experience will be for both you and your pet.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor each day to their routine, personality, and energy level. For active dogs, that might mean long walks, games of fetch, hikes, or plenty of playtime to keep them happy and engaged. For more laid-back or senior pets, I focus on gentle walks, cuddles, enrichment toys, and keeping them comfortable. I love spending quality time with the animals I care for—whether that’s playing in the yard, practicing basic commands with positive reinforcement, or simply relaxing together on the couch. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and as comfortable as possible while you’re away, all while sticking closely to the routine they’re used to.

Pet care experience
I've been caring for animals for over 15 years, and I truly believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away. Over the years I've cared for dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and personalities—from energetic puppies who need structure and playtime to senior dogs who appreciate a slower pace and a little extra patience. What I love most about pet care is getting to know each animal as an individual. Every dog has their own personality, routine, favorite walking route, and little quirks, and I make it a priority to learn those things so their time with me feels as familiar and stress-free as possible. Families trust me not only because I take great care of their pets, but because I treat their homes with the same level of respect. Whether I'm stopping in for a walk, staying overnight, or caring for pets while a family is on vacation, I believe communication is just as important as great care. I'll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing everything is going well. Beyond pet care, I've spent over a decade working closely with families as a nanny, educator, and household assistant. That experience has taught me to be dependable, proactive, organized, and attentive to the little details that make a big difference. If I notice something that needs attention, I take care of it. If your dog wants one more lap around the neighborhood or a little extra time playing fetch before I leave, I'm happy to make that happen. My goal is simple: when you come home, your pet is happy, your home is just as you left it, and you never had to worry while you were away.
