Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Kristin and I'm a New Bern Local, born and raised. I had pets all of my life and actually ended up taking care of my childhood dog Roxy when I was in my early 20's until she crossed that rainbow bridge. I now have a dog of my own named Honey and a cat named Monkey who strangely enough get along better than I'd ever seen a cat and dog relationship before. When it comes to the care of a fur baby, that’s my number one priority! I've had a love for animals for as long as I can remember, and it gives me joy to be able to be surrounded by them daily. To be able to help our community by offering these services rather than boarding them means they can get more one on one attention and have all of their needs met when their owners are out of town or have a hard time finding time for physical activity or attention when life happens! Life can get crazy so I'm here to help and give you the peace of mind that your baby is in good hands and will be loved and taken care of as you would! Can't wait to meet you and your babies!

Kristin watched my puppy and elderly dog for 5 nights in our home- the first time we’ve ever left them this long. We got daily updates and pictures, our house was left spotless and never for one moment did we have to worry about our pups. She went above and beyond, taking them swimming and on daily walks to tire the pup out. Our puppy is extremely energetic and sometimes difficult and our elderly dog requires meds multiple times a day. Kristin was wonderful.
I know Kristin is a wonderful pet sitter because she’s been my pet sitter for years! I trust her with my pets and know she will always care and love for them the same way I do. She has watched my dogs and cats on several occasions and each time I come back home, they are just as happy as when I’m home with them. She has had to give my pets different meds and specialty foods and always makes sure to administer them correctly. I will always call on her when in need!!
Kristin Overly has always had a very empathetic and loving personality her whole life. She cares so deeply about animals and people both, and through my personal experience with her, I know that she would not hesitate to go above and beyond to caretake for her own pets and other people’s pets. She has great time management, work ethic, and an extremely outgoing and bubbly personality, which I believe are wonderful traits that would translate well into this job opportunity for her and your company.
Kristin is an amazing and caring person. She has one of the biggest hearts and very responsible. She never cuts corners and very efficient with communication. I have a big yard and it’s not fenced in however, I have my dog trained to stay with me and I gladly will put any dog on a leash to walk around outside for their safety and the peace of mind of the owners! I will gladly follow any specific instructions on how they’d like their pet to be cared for whether it’s being crated at nighttime or free range and on the bed! I will treat your babies like I'd want someone to treat my own, love, respect, kindness, and care.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors that I should be aware about! Along with and specific things you like done a certain way. For example, if one is a little food aggressive, so I can separate during food time, or if they're scared of loud noises from a thunderstorm or such. I'm happy to accommodate and help take care of them as best that I can!
A typical day
I plan to do anything and everything fun and keeping them entertained. Going for walks, playing with toys, treats of course (as long as the owner says it's okay) and if there are any specific daily things you like to do with your pet, I'm happy to learn them and incorporate them when I take care of them!
