Dogs are people too
Hi, I’ve had at least one dog my entire adult life, beginning sophomore year of college. I love dogs, including small, not-so-small, and the maligned breeds (pitties, for example).

Kristin and Jenny were wonderful with Coltrane, as always! We felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands while we were away. Coltrane loves staying with them, and we couldn’t recommend Kristen more highly!

Kristin was absolutely wonderful with our dog Coltrane, who is very energetic and high-maintenance. He boarded with her for 6 nights and was clearly happy, comfortable, and very well cared for. When our flight home was canceled and then delayed again, Kristin went above and beyond by keeping Coltrane an extra night and accommodating a very late pickup. She was incredibly flexible, kind, and understanding during a stressful situation. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands and would not hesitate to book with Kristin again. Highly recommend!

Kristin is a calm, compassionate soul, as is her dog, Jenny. So our dog, Ellie, fell right in line - and we could tell she had a really great experience. Kristin sent lots of photos and kept in touch. We appreciated that. We’re thinking Kristin is a Dog Whisperer 😊

Schedule
I currently work from home and am home a lot. Jenny and I walk everyday, between 2-4 miles and she’s used to having friends along for the journey.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a 6’ privacy fence and a sizable yard. The gate has a padlock on the inside. I do not leave dogs outside when I’m away from home. I have exterior and an interior camera. Nothing much in my house is sacred, I like to treat dogs as part of the family. However, if you don’t want your pet on the furniture, that’s manageable too!
Pets
A typical day
We have lots of walking options in and around my neighborhood, including Wynetka Ponds, Bow Mar, the Platte River Trail and the Mary Carter Greenway Trail. We typically walk, then play in the yard, relax a bit, and play some more. I have lots of toys and enrichment activities (snuffle mat, puzzle toys, wobbly toys, kongs).
