I've taken care of pets for 30 years, house-sitting, farm-sitting, dog-walking. I've been a licensed vet tech for 20 years in the equine industry. My husband, Daniel, works from home, so we are pretty flexible on drop-off and pick-up times, and your dog has company during the day. If I am at work, Daniel will be the one to greet you at the door. Large fenced yard, daily walks (weather permitting), three kids and a dog that loves to play provides your pet with all the fun they could want and helps them feel like part of the family during their stay.

I dropped off Alfie with Kristin n Daniel for a three-night stay, and I was a bit nervous about how it would go. Luckily, they turned out to be wonderful, and Alfie was his usual cheerful self when we picked him up. All thumbs up 👍
We rarely leave our Dottie so we were pleased to find Kristin and Daniel instead of a having to take to a doggie daycare. They were flexible with hours and communicated well with us including sending a picture with updates during the day. Dottie seemed very happy when we picked her up.
Rover Review Kristen & Daniel were great. They communicated really well before and throughout my dog’s 5-day stay, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog seemed happy and well taken care of when I picked him up. I really appreciated how easy and stress-free the whole experience was!
Kristin and Daniel fit our two greyhounds in last minute for a day sit so we could do some activities in the Lexington area. They kept us updated with pictures and texts on how both dogs were doing. Thank you so much for keeping them for us!

Safety, trust & environment
Flea & Tick Prevention: All dogs staying in my home must be on current flea and tick prevention and arrive free of fleas and ticks. My personal dog has limited options for tick prevention, so keeping ticks out of the home is particularly important to me and helps keep all of the pets in my care safe. Vaccinations: Dogs must be current on their veterinarian-recommended vaccinations, including core vaccines. Because dogs in my care may interact with other dogs, I also recommend discussing Bordetella and other lifestyle-based vaccines with your veterinarian. Feeding & Supervision: Pets are fed separately and are not left together unsupervised. Dogs are crated overnight, so your dog must be comfortable and crate trained. To provide a more peaceful environment, I typically care for no more than two guest dogs at a time.

A typical day
Daily walks around our neighborhood, plenty of playtime in the backyard, and lots of attention from three kids who absolutely love dogs. Your pup will have plenty of opportunities for exercise, play, and companionship throughout the day.
