Two of my dogs are older and friendly, and my puppy is always happy to make new friends. We spend a lot of time outside, weather permitting, and dogs are not left unattended unless crated for brief periods.

I'd like to learn about his or her personality...fears, likes/dislikes, behavior patterns, etc. Dogs often push the boundaries with new caregivers, so prohibited behaviors and places are good to know. Any medical issues or concerns are, of course, vital. I like to get very specific instructions on feeding...amounts, times, and treats. I want your dog's daily routine to be as normal as possible while you're away, so I'll have a lot of questions. One key question...is your dog up-to-date on vaccinations? This is a must for dogs staying in my home.

We love to take walks around the neighborhood, and we play in the yard as much as possible when the weather permits. PLEASE NOTE: Any dog I board must be leash trained. I don't expect perfect behavior, however reasonable leash skills are required. My dogs sleep in my bed, and your dog is welcome to as well. I also have two comfy dog beds for their use. Time I'll spend with your dog: I work from home at least 60% of the time, and when I board dogs, it's more like 90%. Your dog(s) will have company most of the time when they're with me. I prefer to give a dog as much attention as he or she is used to, or more. 8-12 hours per day is average, if an overnight is included. I'm flexible...please let me know what your preferences are. Extra house-sitting services? Absolutely. Please feel free to ask.

I'd love to accommodate your dog(s) for an overnight stay or daycare! My cozy, air-conditioned home is two blocks from a park, where your pups will enjoy walks and on-leash playtime. We are a 2 minute drive from Fuller Dog Park, if you prefer off leash shenanigans. My home (and my 3 dogs) are best suited to small/medium dogs, up to 60 pounds (with some wiggle room!) I look forward to sharing my humble dog hotel with your hound(s)! I've got nearly 35 years of pet care experience under my belt...I've walked, brushed, medicated, given sub-q fluids, played and snuggled with, and cleaned up after many cats and dogs with a variety of personalities. NOTE: My calendar is updated regularly. Please check my availability before making a request. Thank you! Why I love dog sitting I've loved dogs my whole life. I had my first dog, a miniature schnauzer, from ages 3 to 18. She was loving, loyal, and despite her tiny size, fiercely protective. Since then, I've rarely met a dog I didn't like, and who didn't like me.

I was gone for over 2 weeks and Kristin took amazing care of my weird lil pup, as always. My dog looks forward to staying at Kristin’s and I’m never worried about her when agreed there. Kristin loves her like shes her own!
