Information Kristi T. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your furbaby has any health conditions. I also like to know what their usual demeanor is like, and any special quirks or favorite things they like.

A typical day

I let my furry clients interact with me in the way they feel most comfortable; some are outgoing and playful, some are reserved and stand-offish, some warm up after a visit or two, some never fully trust the stranger in their house. I don't try to force them to like me but I always hope they do! I am happy to play with them during visits, give treats, brush and/or pet them, work on training, or if they would prefer to just hang out I'm happy to do that too! It may sound crazy to some but I have spent check-ins just hanging out talking quietly to cats hidden under beds or in closets to help them get accustomed to my voice and presence. They're actually really good listeners ;)

Pet care experience

My rates for DOG WALKING are per dog (the second dog is discounted from the normal rate provided they can be walked in tandem). My rates for CHECK-IN/DROP-IN VISITS are per household for up to 2 pets, and then half price for each additional pet from there (unless there are extenuating circumstances or special requirements). Leaving your pets overnight can be stressful for both of you. I will come walk, play with, feed, and help care for your pets in your home! I would love to help out with your furbabies so you can take a vacation or weekend getaway, if you need a night away, or if you just need someone else to walk your dog for you for whatever reason. I grew up breeding and showing Basenjis with my mom and sisters and have handled and trained dogs for AKC conformation and lure coursing. I actually just got back into it and am currently showing and training my 18 month old basenji Odafin. I am very patient and have first-hand experience owning and caring for dogs, cats, birds, horses, and goats. I am responsible, caring, and have always had animals as part of my family. Pets are like kids to me and I will care for your fur babies as if they were my own. I work a full time job M-F in Sandy, but am available for visits and walks in the evenings after 5:00 PM. I am also completely free on weekends for visits and walks. I don't offer house sitting because it would require me to leave my own dogs home alone. One of my dogs (Rixon) is geriatric and handicapped and can be quite grumpy, and the puppy (Odafin) is a tease and tends to annoy other dogs, often on purpose. Ha
