Hi There! My name is Kristi and I’ve cared for dogs (family dogs, friends/family dogs, and now our own!) for the last 15+ years. A little about me—I’m a Bay Area local, grew up with German Shepherds and have experience with owning and caring for large breed dogs. We currently have a 4 year old German Shepherd mix who we absolutely adore. He is friendly with other dogs, babies and kids, and has enjoyed a fur sibling when we’ve fostered in the past. I’ve volunteered at The Tri Valley Animal Shelter for about 4 years (dog walking), and have also volunteered with the Bay Area German Shepherd Rescue, where I’ve fostered 2 dogs (including one 4 month old puppy). Whether it’s strolling the streets, playing catch at the park, or simply just showering your pup with love and treats—I’m there! Hope to meet you and your pet soon!

Grizz had a fantastic time with Kristi and her dog, Ziggy! They spent the week playing and going on long walks. Kristi sent me daily photos and updates of how Grizz was doing. Grizz looked so happy in all the photos and Ziggy was the perfect playmate. Would absolutely recommend booking with Kristi!
Kristi was great at her communication from the moment I submitted my request. She was attentive and asked appropriate questions to ensure Burt is comfortable in her care. I loved how careful she was with Burt’s and Ziggy’s introduction. Her love for outdoor adventures is also a bonus! She took Burt on a beautiful hike in the Marin. I would use Kristi’s service again in a heartbeat!
I have known Kristi for a while now and have seen first hand her love for dogs. A lot of my friends and family have dogs and she always showed so much love and affection towards them no matter what the age or breed is. She’s one of those people who can’t walk by a dog without asking to sneak in a few pets... she’s helped my friends and family out with with walking them, feeding them and taking care of them to help while the owners are gone, and even sometimes for fun... I even had a dog that rolled around in cow poop while I was at work and was covered in it. She bathed her to the point where I couldn’t even tell when I got home!
Kristi is so sweet and energetic and truly a dog lover! My dog had an accident in the house and she diligently cleaned up the mess which she totally did NOT need to do! She was more concerned about the well being of my pup! She is always my first pick!

Schedule
I value time management, dependability, and responsibility. I work from home so my schedule is flexible, and am happy to adhere to your dogs usual schedule/routine.

Safety, trust & environment
I take our dog out at least twice/day, with a long walk in the mornings and afternoon. Our dog Ziggy is extremely playful and friendly and would love a friend to walk/spend time with. I’m happy to crate your pup if that’s what they are used to and you’d prefer with another dog in the house.
Pets
A typical day
We typically go on 2-3 walks/outings a day, with a longer hour+ walk being in the afternoon. Weekends are more flexible, if I am able we love to take our pup over to Fort Funston or hiking in the East Bay, Peninsula or Marin.

- Please let me know if your dog has any special requirements (health conditions, dietary restrictions, medications, triggers/is reactive, etc.), and for boarding- if they are able to be left at home alone for short periods of time. Note that my daycare rates are based on an 8 hour day and include 2 walks. If you’ll need additional hours just let me know and I’d be happy to do my best to accommodate and at an additional rate. If your pup cannot be left alone at all or for less than one hour, please note that I charge an additional $30/day for daycare rate and $50 for boarding rate.
