I care for animals like family!
I have been around animals all my life. Growing up, we had Norwegian Elkhounds, Border Collies, and a Shepherd/Chow mix, as well as fish, mice, and guinea pigs. I, currently, have a black cat and a ball python, and had a Siamese cat for many years. For the last almost 20 years, I have house-sat and pet-sat for friends and family, then for family members of friends, finally branching out to being sought by word-of-mouth. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, from dachshunds to newfoundlands, cats of all personalities, ducks, chickens, iguanas, tortoises, and all types of rodent. I have cared for non-venomous snakes such as corn snakes, ball pythons, and red-tailed boas. Additionally, I have years of experience with animals that are deaf, blind, senile, or need just a little extra love. I believe all of our animals are our family, no matter if they are warm or cold-blooded, and each species has unique traits to understand. I worked at a bird sanctuary that specialized in waterfowl and the occasional raptor. I have not worked much with song birds nor insects, but would look forward to the opportunity.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a pet-friendly apartment with one cat, who is used to other animals, and a 4ft snake, who’s tank has a latched lid. The cat has a space to herself and I never take the snake out around unfamiliar animals. My complex has a large area to walk dogs (or any other leashed pet) and is near the country for trails and the like. I also have space for set-ups for our bird, reptile, and amphibian friends.

Kristi is phenomenal! Very communicative, on-time, flexible, and took excellent care of our pup. Our dog is usually shy of strangers but Kristi and our pup became BFFs in the short span that we were gone. Would book again in a heart beat.
Kristi is fantastic and my dog and cat loved her. Our cat is geriatric and our dog has a lot of special dietary and behavior needs and she was so wonderful and accommodating! We got updates throughout the day on how they were doing as well. Would definitely recommend!
Kristi was AMAZING with my very active 16 week old mini Aussie. Frequent updates and photos were sent. She left the house clean and our pup very happy. Would 100% recommend Kristi!!
We have used Kristi as a pet and house sitter for years. She is always professional and genuinely cares about our pets (2 dogs, 2 cats). She is respectful of our instructions regarding their care and also respectful of our home and property. We highly recommend her!
Christie is really good we had her watch are four pets in october For 2weeks. The pets loved her she played with them she checked on them at lunch she was right there with um. She texted us to let us know that they were doing good sent videos or pictures so if you need a good sitter for your pets Kristi's great.
Kristi is great with all types of animals and is always willing to take the extra steps to make them comfortable! She has watched our bearded dragon for an extended period and was wonderful with keeping us updated. The bonus is that she isn't at all squeamish about handling bugs for feeding or giving the beardie a bath! She has also been helping out with our two dogs- taking them on walks and checking in on them when we're away. Our puppies can be a handful, and one is reactive and hesitant about new people, so she really took her time to stop by on a regular basis and get to know them- now they absolutely love her!

Schedule
I currently work full-time, but I am free before and after work. I, also, have the ability to visit during my lunches and am available most weeknights and on weekends.
