I have been caring for pets for 27 years. I started pet-sitting for family and friends, and continued doing so after moving to Boise 20 years ago. I worked for Healthy Hounds of Boise as a dog walker and pet sitter while completing a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2012. After graduating, I worked in the ER at West Vet and at several veterinary day practice clinics. I can give medications both orally and subcutaneously. My experience as a vet tech adds an extra set of skills in addition to my passion for animals. I am also vaccinated against Rabies, as it was required in Vet Tech school. I have experience walking dogs of all shapes and sizes. I love dogs, cats, and all types of pets. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my number one priority. My prices are higher than average because I provide a higher standard of care backed by 27 years of experience and professionalism. Also, this is my full-time job, so I’m able to spend more time with your furry family than someone who works a 9-5 job. I provide the best possible care for my clients’ pets and treat them as I would my own. As a former veterinary nurse, I have experience with medical issues. My experience as a vet tech allows me to specialize in medication administration (oral and injectable), special needs pets, and senior pets. I’m able to recognize illnesses in pets and am willing to get medical care for your pet if needed. My safety around your pets is important as well. I like to meet with your pets before booking to make sure it’s a good fit. If it is not a good fit, I have the right to decline services.

We could not have had a better experience with Kristi and our dogs! Our dogs are particular about how they accept and they loved Kristi from the beginning. We loved getting updates and pictures of our dogs every day and throughout the day. Made us feel reassured and comfortable. We couldn’t recommend Kristi enough, she was fantastic and our dogs will be happy to see her the next time we need a pet sitter!
Kristi takes such great care of our kitties while we are gone. She also goes above and beyond by keeping the area tidy when they get a little messy. We always choose Kristi first!
Took special care with our boys who have very different personalities. Sent regular updates, pictures, and took great care that we came home to the same home we left. Our boys were happy to see us but have been looking for Kristi all day long.
Kristi is a wonderful dog sitter. I was nervous being away, but she lots of photos and sen me updates throughout, which was incredibly reassuring. They took walks and had play time daily. When I got home, my dog was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for—and the house was clean. It’s obvious Kristi put real care and attention into both our dog and our home. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable Rover sitter.
Kristi was a wonderful house and pet sitter! She gave our two dogs and cat individualized attention and care. They were happy and well adjusted when we came home. She provided updates and pictures while we were away which was very appreciated. She was also respectful of our home. It was so nice to know our fur babies were well cared for while we were away.

Schedule
I am available most hours of the day, unless otherwise noted on my calendar. This is my full-time job, which allows me to give your pets extra attention. I cannot arrive at your home on the first day of pet sitting before 6 a.m. Occasionally, I need to take daily breaks to run errands or to attend an appointment.
