Cuddles, love, and care this way!
I’m a fully remote Triangle native whose first love (after writing, that is ✍🏽) was for animals. I don’t just look after them—I truly care for them like a family member. Being highly empathetic, I provide both safety and comfort as a bare minimum. As such, I can usually tell (and adapt accordingly) when a furry friend needs more space and gentleness to feel more comfortable versus when they’d benefit from more a more assertive approach. Regardless, everything is done with compassion and consideration to ensure both you and your pet(s) feel safe and at ease!

Safety, trust & environment
I mirror your pet’s comfort level. If they are very sociable, then I am just as extroverted. On the flip side, if they are a little wary, I do what I can to make them feel at ease and let them know I’m a friend. I will never force your pet to interact with me just to appease my own ego; their comfort and your comfort are my priority. Trusting someone to care for your pet(s) is a big ask and not something I take lightly. I also understand that it won’t always be a good fit, so my only request is that you are transparent about questions/concerns and I will do the same to make sure everyone is comfy and at ease!
Ratings and reviews
Kristena was wonderful. She took great care of the dogs and they enjoyed her company. The younger one managed to injure her foot (through absolutely no fault of Kristena's) and she communicated the issue clearly to me and even took her to the vet. It fortunately turned out not to be a serious injury, but her attentiveness to the issue and the care she provided was exemplary. As an added bonus, she left the house looking great!
I have an elderly weenie that can’t see or hear well anymore and Kristena was amazing with him! Highly recommend - she was quick to respond to questions and sent tons of photos. I felt completely at ease knowing she was there to take care of things.
Kristena did a great job watching my dog Penny for 10 days. We received multiple updates and photos from her during that time, and she left the house clean. Thanks Kristena, would highly recommend.

Things that went well: she fed the dogs, let them out, and updated us 2x per day with pictures and videos. She also showed up on time. Dogs were safe. Things that didn’t go well: she crated them from 5:17pm to 3:56am. We asked that they wouldn’t be crated at night so this was disappointing. We have a very obvious front door security camera that notified us someone coming in the door in the middle of the night. Other times dogs were crated 5 hours in the afternoon even on days she worked remotely with full access to our office. Like I said I’m thankful our dogs are alive and didn’t escape while we were gone but we were hoping for less crating like kennel boarding.
Kristena was excellent! We left her with 2 cats, an older dog and a puppy. She sent us detailed updates every day with pictures and even did some training with our puppy while we were away. She also took great care of our home and left it in spotless condition, cleaning up after herself and the animals. We would love to have her back any time!

I work fully remote, so I am able to be with your pet throughout the day if needed whether that be for potty breaks, walks, playtime, or anything in between!
