For dogs, that usually includes walks at their normal pace and route, backyard play, fetch, or gentle exercise for senior dogs. For more active dogs, I love adding in extra enrichment like sniff walks, short training practice, or mentally stimulating games that help them burn energy in a positive way. For cats, I focus on interactive play with toys or anything that encourages movement and curiosity, along with plenty of calm attention and companionship if they’re more relaxed.
