Because I work from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to plan my day around walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting needs without rushing or squeezing pets in. I’m already used to being home and present throughout the day, so I can easily give pets consistent attention, regular breaks, and companionship. On a weekly basis, I’m able to reliably accommodate recurring care as well as one-time bookings, and I make sure each visit is fully built into my schedule so pets always get my focused time and care.

Safety, trust & environment
In a client’s home, I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while their owner is away. I take time to understand each pet’s needs, personality, and schedule ahead of time, and I make sure feedings, walks, playtime, and any medications are done exactly as instructed. I also focus on creating a calm, reassuring presence so pets feel relaxed rather than stressed by the change in routine. My visits are never rushed—I stay present, give them real attention, and make sure they’re getting both care and companionship. I also keep owners updated with clear, thoughtful messages so they always know how their pet is doing.
Information Kristen W. would like to know about your pet
It’s helpful to know your dog’s temperament ahead of time so I can provide the best possible care. Every dog is different—some are energetic and playful, while others are shy, anxious, or prefer a calm and quiet environment. I always take the time to understand each dog’s personality, comfort level with new people, leash behavior, and any triggers they may have (such as other dogs, loud noises, or specific situations). This helps me adjust my approach during walks and drop-in visits so your dog feels safe, relaxed, and understood. My goal is always to match their energy and provide care that fits their individual needs and temperament.
A typical day
I tailor activities to each pet’s personality, energy level, and routine so they stay happy, comfortable, and engaged while their owner is away. For dogs, that usually includes walks at their normal pace and route, backyard play, fetch, or gentle exercise for senior dogs. For more active dogs, I love adding in extra enrichment like sniff walks, short training practice, or mentally stimulating games that help them burn energy in a positive way. For cats, I focus on interactive play with toys or anything that encourages movement and curiosity, along with plenty of calm attention and companionship if they’re more relaxed. I also make sure there’s time built in for simply sitting with pets so they feel settled and not alone.

Reviews
Kristen is both personable and reliable. She has assisted me numerous times with my two Bichon Frise babies. The male is completely trusting; the female is a little fearful of people she doesn't know well. Both dogs adore Kristen. Kristen has picked up the kids when they vacationed at Camp K-9, brought them to my house, and made certain they were comfortable while awaiting our return from our own vacation. She is smart, funny, responsible and caring. I highly recommend her to help with your pets' needs.
We have a 13 year old mini schnauzer and we’re very picky about who we let watch her. It’s hard to find reliable pet sitters that really take good care of your dog. Kristen was fantastic!! Our dog loved her.
Kristen used to watch my dog Brut before he passed away. Brut was a sweet old man who was going blind and had diabetes and I always knew he was in good hands with her. She would give him love and insulin! She would also send me picture updates of him which always made my heart happy.
Kristen has looked after our 5 pound morkie, Lola, several times throughout the past few years. I wouldn’t trust her with anybody else! She truly cares about our dog and takes exceptional care of her while we’re gone on vacation ensuring that we can relax knowing she’s in good hands. She communicates frequently and sends pictures and updates so that we don’t miss our pup too much! Kristen is the best!
