Availability
I’m an artist and able to move my work with me, as it’s primarily digital work! No messy supplies or smells to worry about, or chance of irritation. I’m able to leave and be available to care for pets with short notice. My own dogs are brought to the local park at least once every other day, and are given enrichment through the day to ensure mental and physical needs are met. If those are things you’re interested in, let me know!

Safety, trust & environment
I’m a big believer in meeting what needs each pet has. What works for one of my dogs, doesn’t work for the other, as their energy needs are drastically different. Lick mats, snuffle balls, flirt poles, frequent games of fetch, or just some quality time sitting on the floor and giving pets are all possible ways to offer pets outlets for their mental or physical needs. I’m well versed in what plants or foods are poisonous, and as I myself have a food allergy, anything I would eat would be completely self contained and monitored closely. I’m also thrilled to send photos or videos of pets when able, as it’s something I always find helpful if I have to leave my dogs in someone else’s care.
Information Kristen V. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know how often your pets need food, your feelings on treats, any allergies or medications they may need, and any physical handicaps they may have. I’m also able to lift up to about 80lbs, incase a medium/large dog may need assistance. I would also love to know about personality traits and quirks! Does your pet open doors and drawers? Are they a garbage diver? Do they dislike thunder and loud cars? The more I know, the better I can care for your four legged friends!
A typical day
Walks, fetch, games, puzzles, reenforcing training, snuffle mats, lick mats, all the tricks and more! My own high energy dog has helped me learn many ways to help encourage pets to get the input they need. Fetch not a game for your four legged friend? Flirt poles are always fun to get the chase/run energy out of them too! Sometimes a casual walk around the yard and a towel puzzle can help! From puppies and kittens, to seniors with a want to just watch the birds on tv, I’m happy to accommodate.

Pet care experience
My first pet was something I made a case to my parents for at the age of 5, outlining the various important care needs of dogs. Since then, I’ve cared for and trained all 6 dogs we had, including my own 2 dogs now! My current dogs have been trained by both myself, and under the guide of “Tails-U-Win” training facility. I’ve cared for high energy, large breed dogs my whole life, with a focus on Goldens. Training my own puppies since about 14 weeks, until their passing at 11-13 years of age. I’ve helped friends with their dogs, and stepped in to help care for them on occasion, as well as offering help or suggestions on care. I would be thrilled to meet your pets!
Reviews

Great communicator! We knew at all times what was going on with our boys. That gave us so much peace of mind. Fantastic
Kristen is doing great with the drop in visits with Dolly (a young, large Aussie mix who can be a handful!) Dolly has a few quirks in her behavior and personality and Kristen is handling them wonderfully. Dolly gets so excited when I tell her Kristen is going to visit. Kristen is always on time, leaves detailed feedback with pictures. Highly recommend!!
Kristen is great with my two pups! I'd recommend her to anyone and she leaves great detailed info after each visit and takes great pictures. She is also proactive if any issues come up and let's me know right away.

Another great week of enthusiastic and funny daily updates, tired, happy pups, and bonus snow art! Love it all!!
