*Update:(Going back to the office in the middle of September 2025 for 3 days a week) My husband works from home in an IT job so is around and able to cater to a dog throughout the day! He goes for walks during his lunch time break, so would love to have a furry companion. I'm a teacher and get home Mon-Fri around 4:15pm. Both my husband and I are also available on weekends. We also have a 10 year old son who adores dogs and is very calm/patient around them.

Your Dog’s Home Away From Home!

Pet care experience

We stand out because of our extensive experience and personalized care approach. We had the privilege of caring for our own beautiful Golden Retriever for 11 wonderful years before we sadly said goodbye due to old age. While we feel that void, we’re not yet ready to commit to getting a new dog, which is why we’ve turned to dog sitting. We are dog lovers and are excited to care for and give attention to dogs in need! We believe in treating every dog as a member of the family. Whether it’s offering lots of love, attention, or long walks, we make sure your dog stays happy and healthy. Our goal is to provide a safe, calm, and loving environment, where your dog will feel at ease and enjoy their time with us. We also understand the importance of exercise and mental stimulation for dogs. Whether it's a walk in the park, playing fetch, or just hanging out and giving belly rubs, we’ll make sure your dog gets the physical and emotional care they need to stay happy while you’re away. Additionally, we have experience with administering medications for dogs, especially after caring for our own senior dog. Whether it’s pills or topical treatments, we’re comfortable and reliable in managing your dog’s health needs to ensure they receive the care they deserve.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Kristen and Shady while we were on vacation. From the start, they were reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. It was clear that Maple was in loving, capable hands - he was happy, relaxed, and well cared for when we returned. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Kristen and Shady truly went above and beyond, and it’s not easy to trust someone with your dog, but they exceeded our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for kind, responsible, and attentive dog sitters! Thank you so much!

We can’t thank the Kristen and Shady enough for the amazing care they provided Ollie during our trip! They welcomed him into their home with such warmth and kindness, treating him like one of their own. When we picked him up, Ollie looked so happy and pleasantly tired, a clear sign he had a fantastic time filled with play and affection. Their attentiveness and love for animals gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We’re so grateful for their generosity and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a trustworthy, caring pet sitter. Thank you for making Ollie’s stay so special!

This was my first experience using Rover, and it was a pleasure to meet Kristen, Shady, and their son. They were very accommodating regarding Dexter's dietary restrictions, which I greatly appreciated. While I was out of the province, I received daily updates with pictures, keeping me informed and reassured about Dexter's well-being. Overall, it was a positive experience! And would certainly recommendation this family Dexter certainly enjoyed as well He even came home a bit tired 🐾
