Hello Friends! My name is Kristen, and caring for animals is truly my heart’s calling. I grew up in a home that rescued puppy mill dogs, so I’ve always shared life with at least three furry siblings at a time! Today, I live in a high-rise in Little Italy with my sweet 4-year-old tabby cat, Penny Lane. The building is pet-friendly and even includes a convenient dog​gie lawn/washing station​ for any pups that stay in my home. After the unexpected loss of my partner last year, I left my career in Tech and am in grad school for my master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy - with a specialization in Grief and Loss. I’m also pursuing certification in Animal-Assisted Therapy and plan to adopt a rescue pup who will one day join me in supporting others. In the meantime, I volunteer with several animal rescue organizations and dream of opening a sanctuary of my own. I specialize in pittie/bully breed dogs and also have extensive experience with senior and special-needs pets. I’m comfortable administering medications like insulin and eye drops—even for squirmy little ones—and caring for dogs with mobility issues. One of my parents’ pups was born without back legs, so I’m familiar with wheelchairs, diapers, and plenty of cuddles. I treat every animal like family and would be honored to care for yours as if they were my own.
