I am a Dog Trainer, and I have a strange schedule. My open days are Sundays and Mondays, but I'm available some mornings and Friday afternoons. I really enjoy working with dogs and being around most animals. I'll pass on walking your pet bear. ;o)

I will respect my client's home as their sanctuary. I'm there to care for the animals - whatever that means to them: feeding, giving meds, playing in their home, taking them for walks, or just cuddling. I can even bathe them if I know in advance that's what they want.

Obviously, I need to know any medical issues. It's important to understand their personality, likes, and dislikes, how they react to other dogs we may encounter on a walk. I will respect your guidelines on feeding and snacks, so I need to know that information as well.
A typical day
I personalize my visit to the pet. We can run and play, take a nice walk, play fetch, or just cuddle; it all depends on their mood and desire. I'm new to the area, so I don't have any favorite haunts yet, but I'm hoping to find some gems soon.

Pet care experience
I retired after three decades of teaching high school. Now, I'm embracing my other love - being with animals. I completed the Dog Walking and Pet Sitting course through Animal Behavior College, and I am a Certified Positive Dog Trainer at Petco. I am a member of Professional United Pet Sitters (PUPS), and I'm insured by Pet Care Insurance (PCI). I grew up with a lovable mutt, and I can't imagine ever not having a couple of pups. I've been a pet mom of dogs and cats for 25 years, and they are my kids, my family. When I was growing up, I also had hamsters, mice, and a rat. I love animals of ALL kinds. I have always wanted a pet raccoon or ferret, but I am happy with my SPCA rescues. I will definitely love your babies like my own. After spending years caring for human kids, I can't wait to care for pet babies. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your precious pets. :)

Kristen was amazing with our kitties! She is very thorough, makes sure they’re comfortable and getting the best treatment just like they would if we were home.
