My first job was for a local petstore which I worked for 10 years. I took care of reptiles, birds, fish and small animals (ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs,hamsters etc) I learned SO much about animals with my time there, I even hand raised a Blue Fronted Amazon parrot, which was absolutely amazing and such an honor!! From there I moved on to dog kenneling work. I learned how to administer medication and learned alot about canine body language. I began my career as dog groomer after gaining basic skills at the kennels. I have now been professionally grooming dogs for the past 15 years. It is my career by trade, but my favorite part is spending that one on one time while babysitting!! I am great with all kinds of pets, from furry to scaley. I am comfortable administering medication, I love playtime and cuddle time all the same. I treat each animal as the unique soul that they are, with dignity, respect and all the lovins they can handle! Fenced yard, smoke free child free home

Safety, trust & environment
Dogs, reptiles and birds are welcome in my home with a nice-fenced backyard! I have 3 neutered cats so please let me know if your dog is small animal aggressive. Your dog will have free roam of my home. They can spend time on furnitureif that is allowedin your home. There is a yard to play fetch or tug or whatever their favorite game is. If you prefer they sleep in a kennel I can generally provide that for them! You are welcome to take a look inside of my house before dropping off. I know how dangerous loose items, medications,cords etc can be, my home will be proofed to the best of my ability before your pet arrives! I have a quiet, calm child free environment in a very safe part of town.

A typical day
Every dog is different. High energy dogs can benefit from neighborhood walks or river walks. The River Market is only about a 15 min drive from my house and there are surrounding parks. Older dogs need to be treated as the couch potatoes they deserve to be :) Though physical exercise should be available even if kept to a minimum Puppies require the most work but I am always up for the challenge. They are learning who they are and what the world is and they need a caretaker who is rewarding instead of dominating.

- Any past surgeries, anxiety conditions, noise triggers, special diets or medications are important for me to know upfront! Some dogs are prone to seizures, some dogs are fearful of water, some dogs are fearful of the sight of other dogs.. alot of cats simply do not get along with other cats at all, so, please don't leave anything out! There can never be too much information!
