Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I work a flexible schedule with a mix of in-office and work-from-home days. On days I work from home, I’m available in the mornings and throughout the day, and I can bring my laptop with me if needed. On in-office days, I’m happy to stop by before work and again after, and if a pet requires extra care or visits, I can often adjust my schedule or leave work early. As long as I have some advance notice, I’m able to plan ahead and make sure each pet receives consistent, attentive care.

A typical day
I love keeping pets happy, engaged, and mentally stimulated while I care for them. With dogs, I focus on getting their energy out by doing their favorite activities — whether that’s going for walks, playing games, using puzzle toys, or practicing commands they already know. For cats, if they’re up for it, I enjoy interactive play with string toys or whatever toys they love most, and I also like using treat or food puzzles to keep them stimulated. I always follow each pet’s personality, energy level, and preferences to make sure they’re having fun while feeling comfortable and safe.

I love animals! I’ve had pets my entire life and have regularly cared for so many different pets for friends, family, and others. I have extensive experience with both cats and dogs, including administering medication, supporting senior pets, managing physical ailments, and following specific food restrictions. I understand how important it is to feel confident your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. When I travel, I want that same peace of mind for my own cats, and I strive to provide that same level of care, safety, and security to every pet I look after.

Kristen was absolutely wonderful and took care of my puppy while I was at a conference. She stayed with him to make sure he was looked after and cared for and I could have not asked for a better person. He missed her when she left!
Kristen took care of our dogs and cats for five days while we were away, and she was fantastic. She did an excellent job, and I didn’t have to worry at all while we were away. She sent regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind, and it was clear our pets were comfortable and happy with her. We came home to relaxed animals and everything in perfect order. Kristen has been a life long animal lover! From greeting Rosie the tarantula, amphibians of all kinds, ferrets, Guinea pigs, Rats, Cats, Dogs, and Birds. She has been dedicated to caring for all manner of our animal friends. But her finest moments have been championing, and rescuing wild birds. She is dependable and throughly enjoys life with pets.
