Hi, I’m Kristen! I’m a lifelong Kansas City native—originally from KCMO and now living in Independence, MO. I’m an experienced, detail-oriented pet sitter who truly cares about keeping pets comfortable, calm, and happy in their own environment while their owners are away. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I currently have three pets of my own. 🐾 Pet Care Experience I’ve been caring for animals for over 8 years, even before joining Rover, and I’m comfortable with pets of many kinds and needs. My experience includes: • Administering oral medications • Feeding fish, turtles, and rabbits • Cleaning rabbit cages • Cleaning dogs’ eyes and skin folds • Yard cleanup (including waste removal, if requested) 🧼 Respect for Your Home I’ve been cleaning homes from a young age, working alongside my mom for many years. This means I’m: • Comfortable entering new homes • Respectful of personal spaces and routines • Careful to leave everything exactly how you prefer it Many pet parents appreciate knowing their home will be treated with the same care as their pets. 🐶 Care Style & Routine I prioritize keeping pets on their normal routine to help reduce stress and anxiety while you’re away. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions and love learning each pet’s unique needs, habits, and personality. ⏰ Availability I may occasionally be away for 6–8 hours, though not every day. Your pet’s routine and well-being are always my priority, and I’m happy to discuss schedules to ensure we’re a great fit. Travel Distance & Rates: Bookings located 30 minutes or more from Independence, MO may be subject to higher rates due to travel time. Dog walks I’m great at walking dogs and staying calm when there are other dogs around so your fur child doesn't freak out! I’ll provide all that you need to guarantee the best experience possible! if there is snow and ice I can take them outside to potty and play and cuddle. if it's too hot for me to hot for them ,go out to potty and play inside!

I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Kristen took amazing care of my two huskies, Ace and Akira, while I was on vacation in Branson over the Fourth of July for almost a week. I was especially worried about Akira because she’s absolutely terrified of loud noises and fireworks, but she was incredibly patient, understanding, and compassionate with her. Knowing Akira was in such caring hands made it so much easier for me to enjoy my trip without constantly worrying. She kept me updated, made sure both dogs were well cared for, and treated them like they were her own. It gave me so much peace of mind. I came home to two happy, healthy dogs, and I’m so grateful for everything she did. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely caring to watch their pets. I will definitely be using her again!

Kristen was wonderful with my indoor kitty and the two outdoor stray kitties I have been taking care of. All three cats took to Kristen immediately and loved her! Kristen sent me all kinds of pictures and updates also. I couldn't recommend her more. We will 100% book with with Kristen in the future!
Kristen is so great and was willing to come walk my dog on short notice when I was desperate. She is professional and kind and does a great job with my dog.
