Approved Veterinary Assistant (AVA)
I was born and raised in an animal loving home/family. I was responsible for my first kitty at the age of 5 and my first dog at the age of 12. My husband and I currently own one cat (Sebastian) and one dog (Ari). I dog/house sat for various families while completing high school and college. I completed two externships at veterinary clinics and graduated from University Of Guelph, Ridgetown with my veterinary Office Administration Certificate. From there, I took the NAVTA Approved Veterinary Assistant exam and have held the designation since. I worked in an animal facility for 4.5 years where my duties included, but were not limited to: daily cleaning of kennels, feeding/watering/exercising animals, basic training, administering oral/topical/injectable medications, basic grooming/bathing, laundry/housekeeping and canine and feline enrichment. Friends and family consistently rely on me to walk, feed and spend time with their pets when they are unable to. I have cared for kittens, cats, puppies, dogs, small animals (guinea pigs, rats, bunnies, etc.) and farm animals.

Your pets will always be cared for exactly how you have instructed. Dogs are always on leash unless in a completely enclosed yard and indoor cats/animals are always accounted for prior to leaving. I'm more than happy to send photos and updates during my time with your pet(s)!

Kristen is wonderful! She is thorogh, and attentive to detail. Our dog has some unique needs and she took great care of her. She also kept us informed throughout the day during her check-ins, and responded promptly to any questions I had. I felt very at ease knowing she was taking good care of our fur babies. Will definitely book with her again!
I can't say enough about how amazing Kristen was. From the initial meeting with her I felt 100% comfortable and confident that my fur babies would be taken care of. She is so friendly and attentive to the pets. Attention to detail and overall kindness gave me peace of mind that my pets were in great hands, which gave me the ability to relax and enjoy my time away. Thank you sooooo much Kristen for the awesome care you gave. We will be using your amazing services many times in the future.
Our first meeting was amazing! Our pups couldn't wait to get her attention. I will update again once we have had a sitting visit without us there. But to be honest, I am feeling extremely comfortable with Kristen.
Kristen was great with our dog and cats. It was nice to know she was comfortable with giving injections. It made our time away more enjoyable knowing everyone was well taken care of.
Kristen was a great dog sitter! She was very attentive with my dog Lulu during a visit and a walk. She exceeded my expectations by writing a very detailed account of her visit as well. I would highly recommend Kristen for all your dog sitting needs.
Kristen is dependable, punctual and caring. Her Vet Tech trainig also is a huge asset. Nice knowing that if something goes wrong while I am away, Kristen will know what to do!
