I am currently seeking a full-time teaching position for the next school year. When I work during the year, I will be available during holidays and weekends. I may be able to do dog walks during the afternoons after work. I can do overnight stays on the weekends from Friday nights to Sunday daytime. For the summer, I am available any day of the week and on weekends.

I prefer to only care for pets in a client's home. I take care of pets due to what the job was agreed upon with the owner, such as a dog walk, visit, or overnight stay. In the meeting with the owner, I like to meet their pet to establish familiarity and trust with each other before taking on a job. During the job, I follow the instructions from the owners on how to take care of their pets. I like to spend time with them by giving them attention and playing with them. I change their food and water to feed them. For dogs, I walk them or let them out (if the owner has a backyard) for exercise. For cats, I can scoop from their litter box.

A typical day
Fun activities that I like to do with dogs are giving them adequate walks (depending on the breed, size, and season) to let their energy out. For dogs, I like to play with any toys they have or toys that I can pull, like tug of war. For cats, I like to play with any toys that have feathers or stuffed toys at the end of a long stick. I find laser toys to be fun, as well as to let cats get some exercise. I love to cuddle with cats and dogs to make sure they feel loved while their owners are away.

Hi, my name is Kristen, and I'm located in Graduate Hospital. I have cared for cats and dogs for over a decade since I was a teenager. I joined Rover pre-pandemic, and I've done dog walks, visits, and overnight stays for many owners. I have watched more than one dog and/or cat. Most of my experience has been taking care of small dogs, but I'd like to care for dogs of any breed and size. Also, I've mostly watched full-grown to senior ages, along with giving medication. For any pet, I give the same attention and love as their owners would give them. I like to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away.

Kristen was great from the meet & greet forward. At the meet & greet when I suggested a quick walk to shiw her where we go she took the leash and started harnessing Captain up. Was responsive, pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. I set a cadence expectation on check ins and she went above and with pictures. You can tell she respected my home during the stay. The most important part of knowing she did a good job was that Captain, while estatic to see me, was mopey the next day and you can tell he misses Kristen already. I will 100% be utilizing Kristen in the future.
This was my first time working with Kristen and I’m thankful to have found her for our rotation of care providers! It’s clear she cares about your pet, and is very communicative during the entire process. I enjoyed working with her, and would book her again! (This was for dog walking services)
Kristen was really good with Haze. She gets lonely when we are away, so Kristen kept her company and made sure she got some good play time outside in our yard. We have had Kristen come for a drop in visit and a house stay and we recommend her to anyone looking for a great companion for their pup!
