I would be available 8am Monday mornings through Thursday 7pm for house sits, drop ins, and walks. Saturday and Sundays, I am available for short walks or drops ins from 8am - 12pm (I work afternoon/evening and have night call on these days)

I am a clean, non-smoker and while I'm not allowed to have pets in my apartment, I will take care of your home and pets like they were my own. I also have a subaru outback in which I can transport dogs for exercise excursions.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or has certain behaviors, beforehand. (ie. oral medications, is not leash trained, does not like other dogs, riding in the car, or other).
A typical day
I really enjoy allowing dogs to get some exercise outside. If your dog is willing, we will visit parks, neighborhoods, or go for small hikes. If you have a large yard, we can throw the ball, fetch sticks whatever your dog enjoys. Or if they prefer inside, we can do that as well. For the cats, I love spending time just hanging out, petting them and if they like to play, I will definitely oblige - it entertains me as well. And as we all know, the cats are the ones really in charge!

Pet care experience
I've grown up with a multitude of dogs and cats (and a few other animals), and am new to northern California. While I don't have a furry friend at this time, I miss living vicariously through my friend's pets in Seattle. Our activities included walks or small hikes, sitting and brushing/petting them for an afternoon, or throwing the chuck-it for an hour (for one awesome, blue-nosed bully). I do have some experience with providing pills for dogs, and while not trained with animal injections, I am a nurse and if your pet needs them, we can discuss.
Reviews
I have rescue bully breeds and while my dogs are well trained they are more difficult and do require expert dog behavioral knowledge and confidence. Kristan is able to manage their big energy and needs while also maintaining their communication cues. She is always my first choice pet sitter. She is an experienced dog sitter especially with advanced more difficult breeds, incredibly intuitive and genuinely loves your pets as if they were her own. My home is beautiful and my dogs are always happy when i return and then sulk for days because they miss her.
