Availability
Pet care is an important part of my daily routine, and I’m very intentional about planning my schedule so each pet receives consistent, attentive care. I do currently work at a veterinary clinic, which means my afternoon availability can be limited. If your pet has specific afternoon needs, I just ask for about two weeks’ notice whenever possible so I can do my best to accommodate. I’m generally available for mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight care, depending on the service requested. I always structure my day around each pet’s routine, including walks, meals, enrichment, rest, and medications when needed. Clear communication helps everything run smoothly, and I’m always happy to talk through scheduling needs in advance to make sure it’s a great fit.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I follow clear routines, use calm handling, and pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs. In a client’s home, I respect your space and follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walking routes, medications, and household rules. I keep doors secured, double-check leashes and harnesses before walks, and maintain a clean, safe environment. I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident while you’re away. For in-home care or boarding, I maintain a clean, structured environment with plenty of supervision, enrichment, and rest. Pets are never left unsupervised in unsafe situations. I carefully separate pets when needed, monitor behavior during interactions, and follow Fear-Free handling principles to keep everyone calm and comfortable. With my veterinary clinic experience, I’m trained to notice early signs of stress, illness, or discomfort and act quickly if something seems off. I take pride in being reliable, respectful, and transparent, so you always know your pet is in safe, caring hands.

Information Kristal O. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best and safest care, I ask pet parents to share the following information before a booking: • Your pet’s daily routine (feeding times, walks, potty schedule) • Temperament and behavior, including anxiety triggers, reactivity, or fears • Medical needs, medications, allergies, or recent health concerns • Training level and any house rules (crate use, furniture access, leash rules) • How your pet interacts with other animals and people • Emergency contact information and your preferred veterinary clinic • Any special instructions that help your pet feel comfortable and secure
A typical day
A typical day is structured around your pet’s routine, energy level, and comfort. I focus on creating a calm, positive day that balances exercise, enrichment, and rest. The day usually starts with a morning potty break or walk, followed by feeding and fresh water. For dogs who enjoy activity, I include leash walks, playtime, enrichment games, or light training reinforcement like sit, wait, or leash manners. Puppies and high-energy dogs receive extra mental and physical stimulation, while seniors enjoy slower-paced walks and cozy rest time. Throughout the day, I provide one-on-one attention, check-ins, and plenty of affection. I’m mindful of signs of stress or fatigue and adjust activities as needed. If your pet takes medications or has special instructions, those are followed carefully and on schedule. In the evening, we wind down with another walk or potty break, dinner, and calm bonding time. I also send regular photo and message updates so you can see how your pet is doing. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and happy—like they’re on a mini staycation while you’re away.

Reviews

Kristal did a great job and we will definitely book again!

Kristal was great caring for my young dog over a weekend. She had great communication and my pup was very comfortable with her.

She’s great! Thanos loves her. She provides great updates and photos.

Kristal was amazing! She navigated our big, energetic puppy Bard with care and ease and we never worried about him. She stayed in touch, communicated about any issues she had, and took great care of the house and Bard for a week. Highly recommended!
