I do work in office 8-5 M-F but come home at lunch every day to let pets out to potty/say hi. Once I’m off (and on weekends), I do come home and prioritize quality time with your babies! I do try and schedule other engagements (if at all) around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and other routines in your home. I’m very intentional about making sure your pets feel loved and not forgotten, enjoy getting pets outside for fresh air when we can, and prepare ahead by cleaning litter boxes/bowls so each day starts calm and stress-free.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets with a strong focus on safety, prevention, and communication. Growing up with veterinarian parents taught me how small mistakes can have big consequences, so I’m proactive about removing hazards and avoiding situations that set pets up for failure. I’m comfortable recognizing signs of illness or distress and always ask for a preferred veterinarian and approved emergency budget in advance so I can act quickly if needed. If anything ever seems off, I will always reach out by text, call, or FaceTime so we can assess together and decide on next steps.
Information Krista R. would like to know about your pet
I do always do a meet and greet prior to taking on a new family to make sure we can have a neutral introduction while you are present. We’ll chat about and anxieties, triggers, quirks, and favorite things so I can get to know your pet a little bit better beforehand! While I try my best to note everything we talk about, I do super appreciate my pawrents who are able to leave written instructions for the pet/home just as a surefire backup for me to reference 😊
A typical day
I always make time for playtime since that’s such a great way to help build a relationship and release anxieties. Having a stranger in your home/taking care of you can be confusing and a little scary, so I make it a priority to try and make it as fun of an experience as possible! If your pet engages with any enrichment toys or food games, I offer those when appropriate as well. We do also incorporate walks if you feel comfortable with that being a fit (leash manners, other neighborhood dogs or fear stimuli, etc)

Pet care experience
Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember!! I grew up in animal hospitals—both of my parents are veterinarians—so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I have experience with pets of all ages, from puppies and kittens to seniors and medically complex animals. 🩺

Reviews

Krista is AMAZING! We are so happy with her and how she was with our boyz Dozer and Milo! She treated them like they were her own which means the world to us! We would more than highly recommend her for anyone looking for someone great to take care of their babies!

Krista went above and beyond to provide our girls with excellent care and even training while we were away! We have never had a sitter who was so attentive, loving and invested in our dogs. I highly recommend her services!

WE LOOOOOVE KRISTA!!! She was so respectful of our rules and our home. She didn’t let our dogs do whatever they want (THANKFULLY), she kept our home clean, and was very thorough with what was going on with our pets daily. She is welcome back anytime.

Krista was the best with our 2 pups! We have one very anxious pup and Krista was very patient and understanding. She communicated well and left our home in immaculate shape!! We had a relaxing trip knowing our dogs were in great hands! Highly recommend! We will definitely book again!!
