Safety, trust & environment
Animals in my care are treated like family, but with structure. I provide clear boundaries, routine, and guidance so pets feel secure and understood. Pets are given time to play, eat, potty, train, and rest. I incorporate basic manners and calm behavior into daily care so they’re not just being watched—they’re learning. I have a young child in the home, so I need to know ahead of time if a pet is sensitive or reactive around children. Requirements: Up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies) No intact dogs over 2 years old Must be safe to handle in a home environment I also use long leads when appropriate to safely allow freedom while maintaining control, which is helpful for recall and behavior work.
Information krista michelle b. would like to know about your pet
Please be upfront about your dog’s behavior so I can safely set everyone up for success. I need to know about: Aggression (people or dogs) Food aggression Reactivity Jumping Excessive barking Sensitivity or aversion to children Additional requirements: Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines (including rabies) Males must be neutered (females may be intact) Clear instructions for any medications (schedule + dosage) Transparency is important. The more I know, the better I can work with your dog.
A typical day
Each day includes a balance of structure, activity, and rest. I incorporate basic obedience and real-world training into daily routines—things like leash behavior, calmness, and impulse control. I believe in working before play, so dogs learn to make good decisions before being rewarded with freedom or fun. We go on walks, use puzzle feeders for mental stimulation, and I provide enrichment through structured interaction rather than constant chaos. Dogs in my care aren’t just being exercised—they’re being guided.
