One Family’s Pets at a Time
Hi! My name is Krista and my husband is Henry. Until fairly recently we were dog parents. Our dogs, both rescues, were the loves of our life. We are not ready to get another dog of our own, so we’ve decided to open our home to love on others furry friends. We provide vacation pet sitting for one family at a time, in our home. We understand the stress of wanting to take a vacation, but not wanting to leave your pet behind...(we did not take a vacation for ten years because of this!) We will only take one family’s pets at a time so there is no worry of animals not getting along. It will allow for easy decompression and a smooth settling in process, providing a less stressful and happier experience for your pet while they are away from you. We have a small fenced in area that we can toss a ball off leash and live on a dead end street perfect for walks. We do not use chemicals on our lawn, but use an all natural and organic tick and mosquito repellent. We are extremely vigilant about the safety of the animals in our care and realize that people are entrusting us with a much loved family member. We will care and love your pets as they were our own. We have several local references and there are no children or pets in the home. Your pets will have free range of the house, unless otherwise instructed and are allowed on the couch and bed for all the snuggles…again only with your permission-we will follow whatever your at home routine is. We will stay in communication with daily updates and pictures and we guarantee your pup will be enjoying their vacation as much as you are enjoying yours. There is a 3-4 hour daily window when your dog will be home alone…but if separation anxiety is an issue, 24/7 sitting may be available with additional discussion and planning. *drop off/pick up time on weekdays (Monday-Friday) are not available between the hours of 2-6pm; any other time is fine, weekends (Saturday and Sunday) anytime works. *when making a reservation please select the precise time of the planned drop off and pick up (not a range) for planning purposes and so the reservation is correctly charged. If changes need to be made we are flexible, but any changes need to be updated through the app using a reservation modification. Thank you!

Krista and Henry did a great job caring for my 12 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Ralphie. They take their responsibility very seriously but at the same time they are very calm and easygoing which is perfect for a dog in a new place. Ralphie’s hind legs are not as strong as they used to be. Out of concern for his safety, Krista slept downstairs on the couch so Ralphie would not have to climb the stairs. I highly recommend Krista & Henry to anyone else looking for the best care for your dog when need a sitter.
Another wonderful stay! We are so appreciative of how thoughtful Krista and Henry are about making the experience the best possible for both sides of the leash.
Otto & Pearl had such a great time with Krista and Henry! I got the perfect amount of photos and updates and they were well taken care of.
Krista and Henry were awesome with our pit bull mix Barney. They have a lot of experience with rescues, so we felt that he was in good hands. They sent us photos and videos to keep us updated. Barney was happy and had a great time lounging in the sun and playing. Would recommend and we plan to rebook in the future!
Krista and Henry were very attentive to our puppy’s needs. He is only 4 months old, and they were patient and communicative with his high maintenance needs. Their home is well suited to keep dogs safe, and they were very knowledgeable.
Krista and Henrry are absolutely the best! I can't thank them enough. Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of my Oakley! We loved the photo updates, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing Oakley was in good hands while we were away. We really appreciate you going above and beyond to accommodate his medication schedule. Thanks again!

Schedule
My husband and I work opposite schedules outside of the home, so weekdays there is about a 3 hour period during that transition that your dog will be home alone. Other than that one of us will be home and with your fur babies at all times!!

Safety, trust & environment
We follow all of your pets normal routines and will keep up on any active training. The dogs will get plenty of walks, fresh air, playtime, belly rubs and cuddles while they are here. We are always on leash when outside, very aware of open doors and escape artists and very aware and hyper vigilant of the behaviors a dog can exhibit in a new environment and take every precaution to keep them safe! Clean and fresh water, food bowls cleaned daily. Clean and tidy house that protects against chewing and swallowing hazards. Your pup’s safety is our top concern.
