I'm happy to stay overnight at your home to make your pet(s) feel more comfortable. You know your pet best, so I'll make sure to follow the instructions you give me and make the experience as stress-free as I possibly can for your pet(s). I'll make sure your pet is on a leash/harness whenever I take them outside (unless you have a backyard that is fenced in, of course), and will avoid interactions with other animals during walks if you have a reactive pet.

Every pet has its own DISTINCT personality! Being able to live the wonderful life I have surrounded by pets, I understand that not one pet is the same as the other. Because YOU are your pet’s person and know them better than anyone else, I’d love to know if your animal… - get anxious and may lose their appetit; may vomit; may potty in the house - has a tendency to play with certain items (i.e. chews on shoes) - is easily triggered by squirrels, rabbits or other dogs when on walks - has a complicated relationship with other animals in the house - doesn’t like being touched - needs to meet me first!

Like humans, every pet is different. I’d love to meet your animal(s) prior to the scheduled date so that they aren’t totally unfamiliar with me when I arrive. This may help reduce some of the stress that may come with a new person entering their space. For dogs, I’d be more than happy to take them on a nice walk to explore the smells of the neighborhood - or a short car ride if the proper equipment is provided and you’re comfortable with it. Whether your pup is a tugger, fetcher, enrichment puzzle lover, etc., I’ll make sure they get the adequate amount of mental stimulation while you’re gone. I’ll also never say no to a cuddle session! For kitties, please let me know if they have specific toys, wands, balls, etc. that they gravitate toward. I’d love to help stimulate their hunting instinct and give them the proper amount of exercise. Cat cuddles are extremely welcome too, but never forced!

I've had the privilege of caring for pets since I was 10 years old. I've helped my parents train (through training classes and at home), walk, feed, bathe and enrich both of our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel pups for the last 15 years. I also had the opportunity to take care of my roommate's two gorgeous cats in college. In October 2023, I rescued my own kitty that I care for night and day. When I’m not lounging with Zilla, I like to spend time with my friends and family, try new restaurants with my boyfriend, exercise, and jam out to music in my car. I've done many overnight stays at friends’ and family members’ homes while pet sitting, and I encourage you to browse my testimonials to learn more about how passionate I am about nurturing animals. I've used Krista before, and will use her anytime I can. She was extremely patient with my three pups, especially one that's a senior (16+ years old). She followed my instructions perfectly. I had no worries when I was on my trip.
This is the second time Krista sat for us and again, she was awesome. She keeps me informed on what's going on with the dogs. She's patient with our older dog and keeps the younger ones entertained. I don't have to worry about anything when she's watching our fur babies. I would definitely reccomend her!
Krista took wonderful care of our three dogs. She kept me up to date throughout my trip of what they were doing (eating, going out, meds, etc.), and sent me pics and a video of them. She was especially careful with our 15+ year old dog. I was able to relax and have fun, knowing my dogs were well cared for. I would highly recommend having her watch your pets.
I highly recommend Krista! Whenever she watches our two dogs I know that they are well taken care of and I don’t need to worry! She has watched them numerous times and we will continue to use her. Our pups love her too!
