Pets are already a big part of my daily life! Between caring for my rescue cat, Priscilla, and helping family and friends with their pets, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I have a flexible schedule and love getting outside for walks, playing with energetic pups, or spending quiet time with pets who prefer a slower pace. I'll make sure your pet receives lots of attention, affection, and care while you're away! I work hybrid, so my only limited days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, where I am still available after 3 pm.

I'd love to know about your pet's personality, routine, likes and dislikes, and any special instructions before our booking! Please let me know about medications, mobility limitations, dietary restrictions, fears, triggers, reactivity, separation anxiety, or any other behaviours that will help me provide the best possible care. I have experience with senior pets and understand that some animals need a little extra patience and attention. The more information you can share, the better I can make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and happy while you're away. Clear communication helps set everyone up for a great experience!
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor my care to their personality and energy level! For dogs, that might mean walks around the neighborhood, playtime, lots of sniff breaks, and plenty of attention and affection. For senior dogs, I'm happy to follow a slower pace and focus on comfort and routine. For cats, I provide playtime, enrichment, cuddles (if they're interested!), and plenty of quiet companionship. Most importantly, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while maintaining the routine they're used to at home. I'll also send regular updates and photos throughout the day so you can see how they're doing!

Pet care experience
I've been caring for animals for most of my life and currently have a rescue cat named Priscilla. I also helped care for my family's senior dog, Tyler, who had arthritis, mobility challenges, and age-related health issues. Through that experience, I became comfortable adapting routines, monitoring changes in behavior, and providing the extra patience and attention that senior pets often need. In addition to caring for my own pets, I've pet sat for friends and family over the years, looking after both dogs and cats in their homes. I'm comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, litter box maintenance, basic medication administration, and following detailed care instructions. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.

Krista has been wonderful with walking and watching my dog Clover (4ys, 30lbs, mixed breed, on the shy side). It's clear she is very comfortable caring for her, and has experience with dogs (and cats), which gave me confidence right away. She's always on time, and makes sure Clover is happy, safe, and well looked after. 😊
I cannot recommend Krista enough as a pet sitter! As her close friend, I have a front-row seat to how she treats her own cat, and calling her an amazing cat mom is an understatement. She is incredibly attentive, deeply loving, and completely dedicated to her pet’s happiness, from taking her cat out for walks to ensuring a constant supply of playtime and toys. Her own cat is absolutely obsessed with her, which speaks volumes about the level of care and affection she provides. Krista has a massive heart for animals and treats them like family. Anyone on Rover would be incredibly lucky to have her care for their fur babies!
