**Please note: while fully committed to each pet's care, with my current schedule I'm better with pets whose timing is flexible and can be left alone in the middle of the day! Those who need a fixed time are less likely to be a good fit, because of my other jobs. Thank you for understanding!** I've lived with dogs and cats, and even rats since age 4, and dealt with all that entails my whole life. I genuinely love every dog I meet, and have experience with even the shy and aggressive. My own dog, Mister Darcy, passed away a few years ago after thirteen years with me, many of which required a lot of time and effort on my part to rehabilitate him after a sad first few years. I'm also familiar with small animals such as reptiles and rodents and happy to care for your urban farm as well! A few notes on my care: I definitely enjoy spending quality time with your pets, but as gig work is my only employment, I will need to be out of the house at times to pick up other work if I'm staying with your pet. I also want to be up front about the fact that while I have no immediate plans, at some point I may get a job that will require me to give up my long-standing clients, so I just want to be open about that future possibility. I'm doing this work in order to be flexible, and in kind you should never feel obligated to retain my services if it no longer serves you or your pets' needs. We're all out here trying to make this thing work, and I understand that circumstances change. In my other life, I'm an actor and educator working to increase our understanding of the world and each other. I've lived in Seattle for eighteen years and consider it my home. My home has no yard but good walking and a park close by. There is a friendly kitty so they need to be calm around cats. In your home, I take good care of your pets and your things. I will spend quality time with my charges, and leave things undisturbed.
