Hope your dog enjoys cuddling!

Full time Dog Lover, specializing in Senior & Special Needs care as I'm available 24/7. The way I see it, animals can do no wrong, and every behavior has a reason. Learning animal behavior has been rewarding in that it has invited me to examine my own actions, and build in patience within myself. Simply, compassion is endless when it comes to animals needs. About this sitter: Who I am: A bigtime dog and all around animal lover who returned home to NYC after working with animals & completing grad school in San Francisco. My family and I have cared for dogs and small animals since I was a kid, and I promise to give your pup round-the-clock love and attention. My experience with caring for dogs has been the most rewarding and it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to continue to dogsit, especially since the life of a writer can be lonesome and I can't get enough trips through Central Park. *Happy to share write ups from past and current clients.* What I Offer: -3-4 walks a day = usually at least 4-6hrs exploring parks and relaxing in the sun or shade in one or all of them. Note: Duration ALWAYS depending on your dog's preference or need. For example, some senior pups I care for prefer frequent, but shorter walks - they're the boss when it comes to that :)) -24/7 Round-the-clock attention to your pup's needs. I don't have a 9 to 5 schedule so I am there for your dog at all times during the stay -Half a block distance from Central Park, as well as an enclosed dog park. -Happy to give your pup a bath if they get dirty from the dog park or general playtime outside at no additional charge. -Special needs are welcome - have much experience with my own pets in the past administering medication, and am two blocks from Animal General hospital. -Available at all times by phone and email to answer any questions during the stay, and arrange the drop off time. -Happy to provide natural treats from the local boutique pet shops. -Regular cuddles are available upon request 24/7! Why I love dog sitting I was born a dog and all around animal lover! My family had a llapsa Apso named Chazzy who was my best friend growing up. Since then, I've been a mama and co-parent to (2) St.Bernards, many rescue bunnies, guinea pigs, lizards, and (1) cat. I just returned home to New York after 8yrs in San Francisco volunteering & fostering with Muttville Senior Dog Rescue & working with Rover. Dogs are the best companions, offer unconditional love and loyalty in exchange for our care. In my company, your dog will become a member of my family, and spoiled with love 24/7. Meet my pets (2) House trained Bunny Rabbits named Moo and Luna. They have a playpen in my living room where they stay at night, and are uncaged and litter trained during the day. They are very friendly and mind their own when there's company. They can also be penned during stays if a pup is shy. They've met many dogs who've stayed with me, and keep to themselves, always cuddling each other. *Meet and Greets are best to ensure my home is the best fit* About my yard In exchange for a backyard, I live just half a block up from Central Park as well as an enclosed dog park, and the Reservoir walking/running/biking trails. Also have an enclosed balcony (added additional chicken wiring for maximum safety) with wonderful views to sit together at night and enjoy the breeze. My experience administering medication Yes. I've had special needs animals pets and cared for them as well, in both situations being able to stay up all night and administer medication when needed.

Kris was absolutely amazing while sittingWinston for the weekend! My dog is very nervous and was recently diagnosed with diabetes so I was a wreck to leave him alone for the weekend but Kris understood. She took great care of Winston and gave him his twice daily insulin shots with no issues. I will definitely ask her to take care of him again!

Kris was such a life savior in taking care of foster Lennard. She clearly has a wealth of expertise and experience working with all types of dogs (fosters included)! I felt confident leaving Lennard in her care. She was communicative, friendly, and professional. I can't say enough about Kris and am sure I will be contacting her again!

I hired Kris to take care of my senior mini-poodle for 4 days in my home and I couldn't be happier with her care of my (extremely fussy!) little guy. She took excellent care of him and was so patient and caring - taking him out a ton of times during the massive snowstorm. I returned to a very happy dog and my apartment looked exactly as I left it. Communication was excellent as well. I will absolutely be booking Kris again.

We were so lucky to find Kris to watch Lara for 2 weeks while traveling out of the country. Our usual sitter was booked, and I was anxious leaving Lara with someone new, but Kris made us feel like we were in great hands. More importantly, she took great care of Lara. Before we left she asked all the right questions, ensured she stayed safe, happy, loved and communicated with us thoroughly the entire time. We're so grateful we have someone in the neighborhood, and we look forward to hiring Kris again!

Drop-In Visits • Dec 16, 2025

Kris was awesome with Lara! It was her first time doing a drop-in, ahead of a 2-week stay we have scheduled with Kris coming up. The visit really ensured our confidence in choosing her to watch Lara while we're visiting our family over the holidays. She even brought up my packages :)

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks As an Upper West Side resident, I'm half a block from Central Park with loads of fun in the sun and grass awaits, as well as an enclosed dog park, and Riverside Park just a short jaunt away. Love to take trips to one of the local boutique pet shops for a treat - with the permission of the owners of course - on cool afternoons for things like doggy froyo! Your dog's sleeping arrangement I'm a small person in a large apartment, and a bigger bed that I don't mind sharing. If your dog is not as cuddly, I have a large couch, many rugs and cool floors for pups that want to sleep looking out the balcony while enjoying the high tower breeze! Time I'll spend with your dog Just finished grad school and don't work a 9 to 5 schedule, so I am available to be with your dog 24/7. Your dog won't be left alone at home very much at all, as I personally believe that when dogs are away from home and their owners, they benefit from more attention to feel secure and develop loyalty for their caretaker.

Only ask that your dog is NOT aggressive and most importantly, gets along with smaller animals. Reason being that I wouldn't want he or she to respond negatively to my (2) resident and very well socialized pet bunny rabbits! It's completely fine if your baby prefers against dog parks, as there is plenty exercise in the lush areas in and around the Upper West Side to enjoy on leash! As apart from a dog walker, 'm a writer, and any breaks to get some fun in the sun away from the flashing cursor is appreciated. :)
