Pet care experience

Lifelong Dog Lover & Dog Caregiver

With over 30 years of experience as a devoted dog owner, I’m the go-to person for friends and family when it comes to pet sitting, house sitting, and more. I absolutely love dogs and treat every pet as if they were my own. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs, including those with health concerns that require daily medication. I frequently dog sit puppies, helping with basic training commands like sit, lay, shake, and stay. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once, ensuring each one receives the attention and care they deserve. Daily walks, playtime, and a loving environment are guaranteed. Dogs will have access to a doggy door for indoor-outdoor freedom, and I make sure all pets are safely crated at night for their well-being. When I step out, I love taking dogs along for car rides and errands to keep them engaged and happy. I also provide daily photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while your pet is in my care. Their happiness, safety, and comfort are always my top priorities!

Schedule

Pet care is naturally integrated into my daily and weekly routine. Since I have the flexibility to work from home, I’m able to provide constant supervision and companionship for the dogs in my care. When I go into my office in Dallas, I can bring pets along with me to ensure they’re never left alone for long periods. If I need to step out for something where I can’t bring a dog, I always make sure they’ve gone potty before I leave, then safely crate them for their comfort and security until I return. However, if a dog can join me for errands, I love bringing them along for car rides and outings to keep them engaged and socialized. This balance allows me to provide attentive, loving care while ensuring each pet feels safe, happy, and included in my daily routine.

Safety, trust & environment

My approach to pet care varies based on the service provided, ensuring each pet receives the attention and care they need in a safe and comfortable environment. * House Sitting – When caring for pets in a client’s home, I maintain their regular routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care they require. I also ensure their home is secure and well-maintained while they’re away. * Boarding – In my home, pets enjoy a loving and structured environment with access to a decent-sized backyard for playtime, a doggy door for indoor-outdoor freedom, daily walks, and plenty of attention. At night, I crate pets for their safety and comfort. If I step out, I make sure they’ve pottied before crating them and return promptly. If they can come with me, I take them along for outings. * Dog Walking – Whether a quick potty break or a long stroll, I tailor walks to each dog’s energy level and needs, ensuring they get proper exercise and stimulation. * Daycare – For pets staying during the day, I provide a fun and engaging environment with playtime, socialization, and personalized care based on their needs. No matter the service, I prioritize safety, comfort, and plenty of love to make sure every pet feels happy and secure.

A typical day

A typical day with the pets in my care is structured, engaging, and filled with fun activities to keep them happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Morning Routine: The day starts with a refreshing morning walk to help the dogs get their energy out and enjoy some fresh air. After the walk, we wait about 30 minutes before breakfast to allow their bodies to settle. Each dog is fed based on their dietary needs, and if a pup is hesitant to eat due to a new environment, I add organic coconut oil as a topping to encourage them. Midday Activities & Care: Throughout the day, I keep dogs engaged with activities suited to their energy levels, including: * Backyard playtime – Fetch, tug-of-war, and free running for active dogs. * Basic training reinforcement – Teaching or reinforcing sit, lay, stay, and shake for puppies. * Interactive toys & enrichment games – Puzzle toys and treat-dispensing games to keep their minds sharp. * Healthy snacks – I provide fresh fruits and vegetables as treats, including celery, cucumbers, bananas, apples, lettuce, and sweet peppers. Dogs also enjoy Costco’s organic peanut butter (no added sugar) as a special treat. * Cuddle and relaxation time – For dogs that enjoy a calmer, more comforting setting. Additionally, if a dog has itchy skin, I rub organic coconut oil on them for soothing relief. If I need to step out, I either bring them along or ensure they’ve had a potty break before crating them for safety until I return. Evening Wind-Down: As the day winds down, we go for an evening walk or have another backyard play session before dinner. After eating, they get some relaxation time—lounging, gentle play, or quiet chew toy time. Before bed, they get a final potty break, then are safely crated for the night to ensure a restful sleep. I also provide daily photo and video updates so owners can see their pets enjoying their time with me. My goal is to create a loving, structured, and fun environment where every dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for!
