I work from home 2 days each week. I get up at 4:30 AM to care for the dogs before work. I am gone for eight hours and when I’m home, I am spending time with the dogs. I try to maintain the schedule provided by the owner, as dogs like their routines.

I have a fenced yard and spend a lot of time playing with my pets outside. I do not leave pets outside unattended. My home is very safe to ensure they do not have access to anything that could harm them. My dogs have access to food twice daily and water 24/7. Sometimes I do have to run errands and can crate while away. I only crate if needed and trust the owner to let me know what is best. It is very important to let me know if your dog needs to be in a crate if I have to run an errand or have an appointment.

I have taken care of dogs with special needs, seizures, injuries, and anxiety. I have applied bandages, kept areas dry and clean while healing, and provided care for a dog with seizures. I can accommodate most special needs. A few important details for me to know are… - Favorite activities ((fetch, walks, etc.). It feels more like home when I do activities he/she is familiar with. - Feeding schedule - Are your pets allowed on furniture/in the bed? - Are there any special needs that I need to be aware of (medication schedule, anxiety, no jumping off furniture, stairs, vacuuming, etc.). - Allergies - Commands - Are there things that can make your dog aggressive. - You only need to bring food, special, toys, blankets, etc. I have plenty of dog beds, bowls, treats, etc. If fur baby needs to have his/her own bed, it’s fine to bring amything they need or brings them comfort.

Just like people, all dogs are different. Some love to fetch while others enjoy a nice walk. I have a fenced yard so I play fetch with my dog multiple times a day. Jake loves to have a buddy to fetch with. I live in a nice neighborhood and enjoy long walks.

Your dog will return happy, as my home is safe, full of love, and calm. Experience; I have been taking care of pets for over 18 years. I have a 11 year old Beagle named Jake. He is very laid back and gets along with all dogs. We have a house on 2 acres with a huge fenced yard. Dogs quickly trust me, which will bring you peace of mind. I am really good with dogs who struggle with anxiety. Environment; I maintain a safe, quiet, and pet friendly environment. Your pet will receive lots of love and attention. We also spend a lot time outside, weather permitting.

I highly recommend Kourtney for taking care of your four legged babies. She made our dogs feel right at home. We received updates daily along with pictures. It was awesome not to have to worry about them.
Kourtney was very easy to communicate and book with. We were away on a long trip but felt very reassured and comfortable as we received updates and pictures while away. Our boys had a great time staying with Kourtney and Jake!
