I have room for 1-2 dogs during the week. I work from home so I am in most of the day, every day. I walk the dogs straight after the morning school run around 9am and again pop out either before the 3pm pick up or just after (with children in tow). If your dog is happy being left alone (once they have settled in) I do leave the puppy one afternoon a week (for up to 3 hours) whilst I take my older dog to his Pets as Therapy session. The dogs get attention whenever they potter up to me whilst I'm working , I enjoy the company!

Safety, trust & environment
I am happy to accept any dog of any age that has a good temperament. I have two school aged children (6 + 8) who have grown up with dogs and understand how to respect and play with them. However, their safety (along with my dogs and yours) is paramount. So if you have a reactive dog I'm afraid I won't be able to help you. The dogs have free reign of the downstairs of my house and the backdoor to the (fenced) garden is open in almost all weather (unless it is freezing or torrential!). My old dog is gated upstairs for part of the day when he needs his peace and quiet. The puppy is crate trained so is also in and out throughout the day but is mostly asleep at my feet in the kitchen! I can also separate the dogs between the living room and kitchen if they need downtime from playing.

Information Kirsty C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs, habits or traits that I should know about in advance. I like to walk the dogs off lead if they have good recall and get along with people and dogs we might meet during our walks. Unfortunately, I can't take on reactive dogs, I must put the children and dogs safety first.
A typical day
I am very fortunate to live walking distance to Southwood SANG (140acres of open space) this is my usual morning walking spot. However, if you are happy for me to drive your dog, I also regularly go to Fleet Pond, Frimley Canal, Wellesley Woods, Hawley Lake and Hartland Park. I allow the dogs to spend quality time off lead (with your permission, on lead if none is given). They are given the time to sniff every smell and paddle in every puddle, mud hole or pond! At home we have plenty of dog toys and treats to keep them entertained and playing when they need to burn off extra energy.

Pet care experience
We are a family of 7 (2 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs and Robert the hamster) I have two spaniels, a beautiful old boy who is 11 years and a 1yr old boy. I have experience training and raising my senior dog from 16 weeks old. He has become a Pets as Therapy dog and is adored at a local primary school. Recently he has started to show weakness in his back legs so I understand the patience and gentle care that older dogs need if you are worried about an older slower doggo being in someone else's care. I also have a furry ball of fun! I have had my youngest pup since he was 8 weeks and this has meant I have had to start all over again and recap all our past training! He will also train to become a therapy dog when he is older (wish me luck!).
Reviews
i w as so happy with kirsty and the relaxed way she took bella into her family and gladnend by the videos thankyou sooooo mmuch xxx richard salmon
Kirsty was wonderful , very accommodating, she came across as experienced and it was great for me personally to know she had the breed herself . Honey settled straight away and seemed to love to have the company of other dogs . I,was kept up to date and sent videos of her time which showed just how much fun she was having . I cannot thank kirsty and her family enough for looking after honey so well

Would highly recommend Kirsty. She looked after our little 4 month old pup, who has bundles of energy, and over new year too!! Kirsty and her family (including the family pups) were very accommodating, and sent us regular updates/pictures of how he was doing. Very reasonably priced too. Was very flexible with drop off and collection. Thankyou for looking after Bailey 😊

Copper had a great, longer stay with Kirsty. He came home exhausted in the best way possible, and seems to have such a good time with Kirsty and family. He’ll be back again soon!
