My love for animal care started while living in Colorado, where I provided extended house and dog sitting for a family who split their time between Colorado and Dubai. I often cared for their home and pets for weeks or even months at a time, giving me experience with daily routines, exercise, feeding schedules, medications, and providing companionship while owners were away. Since then, I’ve cared for pets for family friends, neighbors, and members of a yoga community where I taught classes. I’ve looked after dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs, and I always make it a priority to keep them comfortable, safe, and happy. I currently live on the Upper East Side and would love a dog of my own someday, but until then I enjoy spending time with the dogs in my life including my best friend’s Goldendoodle, whom I regularly babysit, walk, and play with. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for a beloved family member.

I prioritize safety, trust, and consistency in every visit. During drop ins and walks, I make sure pets are always secure, supervised, and comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walk length, and any special instructions provided by the owner. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates, photos, and notes so owners feel reassured while they’re away. My goal is to make every visit feel reliable, calm, and stress free for both pets and their humans.
Ratings and reviews
Kirstin has taken care of my dog Frankie many times and has done an amazing job at making sure all of her needs are met. She is attentive, detail oriented and cares for my Frankie as if she were her own pet. She was careful to follow all the instructions we left about Frankies care and she was very communicative, sending picture updates and asking questions when she wasn't sure about something. I'd highly recommend Kirstin to any pet owner looking for a caring and attentive sitter.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m already a very active person. I spend a lot of time walking throughout the city, exercising, and exploring different neighborhoods, so adding dog walks, drop-ins, and quality time with pets is something I genuinely enjoy. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be dependable and attentive to each pet’s needs, whether that’s a morning walk, midday visit. I enjoy building relationships with both pets and their owners and making sure every animal receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection.
